We had a problem of unwanted company at Christmas time. We ran out and bought a new bed and then we read all about these invaders. There are many covers for mattresses, box springs and pillows. I have to admit these are nice. I am so sensitive and touch and feel are very important to me. These are comfortable and have no smell and most of all seem to be working so far! They are soft, did not rip and are plenty large for my pieces, I listened to one person that said to tape the zippers. We also reinforced all edges that come in contact with the bed. We taped all screws and bolts and have no ripping worries. We also used a spray from Amazon that is safe for people and pets on everything and vacuum and take the dirt out in a bag and dispose of the remains. We caulked all cracks and crevices everywhere. It seems to be working better every day! I will update in the future.

I really liked this product when I first opened it. However, when I went to put it on, it began to tear in one corner. The material is flimsy, so instead of stretching to fit, it rips. I ended up taping the tear closed as it was on the underside of the boxspring. However, if I was really concerned about bed bugs more than just having a cover to protect my boxspring, I probably would spend more money and get the heavy duty mattress protector. AKA, you get what you pay for!!

Don't do it. I realize these covers are considerably cheaper than your average mattress cover but... we were incredibly gentle putting them on and one side ripped within a few inches of putting it on. We used extreme care and the worst still happened--and after stores with decent covers have closed here locally. Spend the extra and go for a better product--you won't have to go through the hassle of returning it!

We washed this item upon receiving it. It ripped in the washer (following washing instructions). A hole in the cover defeats the purpose of using one.

I haven't put it on the boxspring, but can imagine it will tear again.
