I will start by saying that these are nice sheets, and that I am not highly skilled at detecting false thread counts, however I have a set of 600TC sheets that I've been using for over a year, and by using the "light test" of looking at a light through the sheets, I see more light through these 1000TC sheets than I do through my 600TC sheets. Take that for what you will. Oddly enough I received a package of "1500TC" sheets (as printed on the inner sheet packaging), and if these are really 1500TC sheets, when compared to my 600TC sheets this light test makes them much more questionable. NOTE: I still consider these to be quality sheets! Just not as HIGH quality as I thought I would be receiving (@ 1000TC). Will I still sleep on them? Gladly! The pattern has a nice sheen, they have a nice soft texture, and pass the "skin/touch test" to get a thumbs up to sleep on. After I wash them and get a good nights sleep on them I'll report back again. Maybe two stars will turn into three or four...Save 80% Off
