I ordered this pillow because I wanted a pillow with less filling that my current down pillows, which cost twice as much as this one and have too much stuffing. I never thought that would be possible but too much down makes a very firm large pillow. These are on the lower end of the "fill weight" of the down pillows currently for sale on Amazon, and are very nice. The cover is a nice damask as pictured in the product description.

The tag on the inside (you know the one, the "do not rip this off under penalty of death" tag) says the interior filling is 75% "white down." It does not say what the other 25% is and you can't open the pillow, but when I press it firmly together it feels like it's all down. Sorry, dear readers, but I'm not going to rip up this pillow to investigate!

I'd describe these pillows as soft and on the lighter end of filled...when your head rests on them, they flatten out nicely, and for stomach/side sleepers your head can remain parallel to the mattress. If you like a big overstuffed down pillow, this is not the pillow for you, but if you're looking for a lighter pillow at a good price with a nice "give" to it, this is a good option, especially at this price (currently under $30). Even at Tj Maxx/Marshalls this pillow would be significantly more.

A good value and a nice quality pillow.

Gave this as a Xmas gift. Matches the down comforter we also bought. My mother-in-law loves it. Very comfy. Beautiful!
