Side Sleeper Pro Pillow

My back was broken X2 in a car accident among other nasty injuries. (Cell phone talker ran a light & hit me. Totalled 3 cars & hit a fire truck.) The neck and back pain was unbearable. I ordered the Side Sleeper Pro and bought a Sleep Number Bed at the urging of my daughter. It was not long before I was resting/sleeping surprisingly pain free. During the day if the pain interfers with activity I just lie down with my pillow for a while. We have been shocked at the difference. When I travel to visit relatives they always have a Side Sleeper Pro fresh and waiting for me. When I bought them I had to make my own pillow cases. I am buying two new ones today for my son and daughter-in-law. Friends and family have assured me that my Side Sleeper Pro will accompany me to the afterlife! ;-)

I bought this for my mother, who is a side sleeper and usually needs a pillow behind her back. She loves her new pillow and it has eliminated the need for a second one. It was a little awkward at first, I did not buy extra pillowcases, so I had to make her one that would slide off for cleaning.

I will start by saying I did not buy on Amazon (shocking, because I buy everything here, down to my toilet paper), I purchased at Big Lots for $10. At that price, I figured what the heck! Turns out, I love it. I have spent a small fortune in pillows trying to find one I liked. Who know I could get one for such a great price. I am in love with the ear hole. I love the fact that if I roll to my back, the back "arm" props me up slightly, which my husband says has almost completely stopped my snoring (I only snore on my back). I have found that the difference in length between the front & back isn't that much and if I flip over in the middle of the night, I don't need to flip the pillow. I've always slept with a blanket snuggled under my head to help prop my chin up and keep from smashing my ear, and now that's no longer necessary. Glad to see they are selling these on Amazon, but I'm heading back to Big Lots so buy a few more of these before they sell out. I can't imagine this pillow will last for more than 12-18 months. The case is thin and rough, but honestly, as comfortable as this pillow is, thats not a deal-breaker. I may search for the patterns one reviewer said were online and make some new pillow cases out of an old 1000 thread count fitted sheet that lost its elastic (I knew I saved it for a reason). I took off a star for the flimsy pillow case, but as someone that has searched high and low for the perfect pillow, I give the design 10 stars!!

I will be getting another soon. It does help so that I do not wake in the morning with a shoulder way out of alignment.
