ITALIAN 1200 Thread Count Egyptian Cotton Duvet Cover Set , King, White

It's really strange reading everyone's reviews, because it seems like this company is sending people diffferent products. My duvet cover isn't stiff or scratchy, in fact it is very soft. However, I really doubt it is 1200 count. It is single ply (which is fine) but very thin much thinner than my 800 count sheets.

If you look at the edging of the pillow case in the advertising photo, it looks fairly wide... mine is barely an inch and super flimsy. Also, don't let the Made in ITALY tag sway you to buy it as it did me. While the outside packaging says Made in Italy, the tag on the actual duvet cover doesn't say that... and it looks and feels like it was made in China... especially after it washing.

Duvet cover wasn't the width we needed. Vendor was very helpful in returning item for credit. Would buy from them again.

UPDATED. Company twice has said they would credit us. No credit as of January 3, 2012, last time they said they would credit was two weeks before Christmas. Company is not responding to emails.

I also purchased the matching sheet set so my comments match my review for that item, as well. Although the fabric appears soft and silky (haven't washed them yet), the workmanship of this set is not as pictured nor does it have any appearance of the quality of fine Italian-made linens. Shame on this company for portraying their products as such. The label on each item only says "Imported." There is no reference to the thread-count or country of origin other than "egyptian cotton." The finishing is rough/home-made and there were numerous loose threads on everything. Just goes to show that you get what you pay for.

Improperly sized for king duvet, poor stitching, loose threads, nowhere near 1200 thread count (more like 300, very scratchy), there is nothing luxurious about these sheets and no way they are made in Italy (no label on the product), more like China. This is the most falsely advertised product I have purchased on Amazon. Total waste of time.

Very deceiving. A 1200 thread count duvet cover should have some shin to it, but this product does not look classy at all when you put it up. The product is also very rough. Would not recommend this product.
