Simmons MM02117QN Deep Sleep Queen Hi Loft Raised Airbed, 17-Inch

I chose this airbed because of the quality associated with the Simmons name in regular beds. I was not disappointed. The bed slept comfortably and only had to be inflated after 8 days of usage. The pump that came with the bed was compact and easy to use. My only complaint about this airbed is that it was smaller than a regular queen sized bed and looked like a full sized bed to me. Overall it was a good quality purchase and I was satisfied with this product.

This product was advertized and sold as a "Queen Size" inflatable mattress, The size listed on the box was the dimensions for Queen Size but the mattress, either inflated or flat was Standard size. It was not an accident because we sent one mattress back thinking that there might have been an error in packaging the second delivery was in an unopend box and was the same a Standard sized mattress sold as a Queen sized one. I tried to get Amazon to drop the line or complain to the manufacturer but had no success.

I just bought the 17" and the photo on the box made it seem like this mattress is much higher and bigger than it really is. I also bought a queen and at best it's a full...maybe. It sleeps like any other airbed, no difference between this one or any other I've slept on but I bought it for guests and one of my guests is about 6'4" and about 225 and he's supposed to fit in this "queen" with his wife. I liked that it was supposed to be higher off the ground like a real bed so I was disappointed when I saw how low it actually was. I got an OK night's sleep on it and had plenty of room but I'm 5'2" and 125 lbs. Keep that in mind when buying it...

Simmons Beautyrest used to be a good company. In fact, it was the company by which other similar companies were judged. How the mighty have fallen! RUN, do not walk, away from this product. You would spend your money more wisely if you had a nice, 5-star dinner with it! At least something in your body would be happy.

I use an airbed because I have back problems. I bought my Beautyrest because the store was out of my regular brand (trashed by my cat). The "pillow" is most annoying and I put it at the foot of the bed. If you add a real pillow you end up half-sitting. The sides are slick which means that your sheets will not stay in place. One little move and they slide up to the top of the mattress. The pump is a nightmare! Seriously. It must have been designed by a mad inventor who forgot to take his Haldol. It doesn't fit into the intake as described...no matter what you do. And, you can't turn it off and then remove the pump...all the air comes wooshing out. I called Customer Service and was told to just rip it off while it is still on.

The bed oozes air...all over and constantly. If I fill it to the hardness I need for my back, by morning it is sagging in the middle. This, of course, also plays havoc with the sheets and blankets. If you want to spend $80 to give your kids a sleepover place...maybe...but there are better products. Probably ANY other product would be better.

They could hardly be worse.

I purchased this bed and it wouldn't hold air. I found out it had a defect, a tiny pin hole in the seam on the side of the bed. Since it would be more of a hassle to return it than to fix the hole, I used the patch kit that was provided with the bed. It worked fine and the bed is very comfortable and stays firm when inflated.
