BioSense Memory Foam Shoulder Pillow with Better Than Down Cover

I purchased 2 pillows, one for me and my girlfriend (from a brookstone store in a local mall). I have been using it for the last week and I sleep well on it, although it is not as comfortable as I thought it would be. I wish it was a bit softer. I have to press down with my head on the pillow to get it to sink in a bit lower. My girlfriend says she tried to sleep on it but her head sits too high on it and it hurts her neck. She says it is way too firm and it is only good for watching TV and use as a support. (She also removed the plastic and now she is unable to return it) Other than it being a bit firm for myself the design and quality definitely seem up to snuff no problems there. Overall I say it's a decent pillow, I'm hoping it will soften up a bit in time. I knocked a star off because the firm issue and took another star off because it may not be for everyone (like my girlfriend). Try to go to a Brookstone store as opposed to buying online so you can feel if this will be the right pillow for you. I TRIED TO PUT THIS SAME EXACT REVIEW ON BROOKSTONES WEBSITE AND THEY WILL NOT POST ANYTHING YOU DONT GIVE 5 STARS ON AND "ABSOLUTLY LOVE" THE PRODUCT. I AM DISTGUSTED THAT BROOKSTONE WOULD DO THAT AS I RELY HEAVILY ON REVIEWS BEFORE PURCHASING ITEMS. DO NOT TRUST BROOKSTONES REVIEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have fibromylagia and being a side sleeper, my shoulders are always in pain. I have tried sleeping on back or stomach and end up with neck pain and really bad headaches. I saw this pillow in the store and decided to take the leap. I buy new pillows every 2-3 months, since the support breaks down quickly in every pillow I have had and memory foam pillows are not very comfortable (hot) and gave me headaches. I don't get hot from my new pillow at night any more. In fact my night sweats have also stopped. Maybe it was my pillow giving them to me the whole time, or it could just be the improvement in my sleeping overall helping everything. This new pillow seemed like the perfect combination. My sales person told me that he had one that he bought when they came out and it is just as good today as the day he bought it. No breakdown. They also have a 1 year warranty... on a pillow!

Since the first night I slept on it (10 days ago), I have been shoulder and neck pain free! First time in 2 years!!! I have also discovered that I don't wake up as much at night and I am only a little achy in the mornings, instead of in excruciating pain, which is where I have been due to my Fibromyalgia. I know this is an expensive pillow, but it is worth every cent if you are a side sleeper.

The pillow itself is curved at the bottom so that it fits perfectly over your shoulder and supports your head and neck completely at a perfect height. The outside removable and washable cover is about 1/2" thick all the way around. It is soft and silky to the touch and the filling feels like the softest down, but it is hypoallergenic. This surrounds a really neat feeling memory foam pillow. It isn't stiff like so many are. It has just the right amount of give in it. It gives you that "I just want to keep squeezing this" feeling. The combination of the soft down around the memory sense core is just perfect. Not too stiff or too soft. Just right!

As an add on... my 70 year old mother got hers last night and called me this first things this morning to rave about how wonderful her pillow was. She woke up neck pain free for the first time in 20 years. She only had to get up once for a bathroom break. No more tossing and turning. She is going out today to get one for her best friend, who also has neck issues.

I needed to throw that in because I really am talking this pillow up and my first thought would be company employee posting, but this is not true. This is just an awesome pillow. My perfect pillow hunt has finally ended. It is worth every penny. I too was worried about the cost. $70 for a pillow is really steep, but I have spent that in a year trying to find a decent pillow, so do what I did. I did not remove the thin plastic wrap the first night and put a pillow case over it. It was a little crinkly sounding, but if I had slept badly, I could have returned it as long as the plastic wrap was still on it. I tore that plastic off first thing in the morning and then took me a first thing in the morning nap on my new miracle pillow!

I bought this pillow from a local Brookstone store a few months back and like some other reviews, I too thought it was too stiff and too tall. I tried returning it but they won't refund me because I opened it so I was stuck with this pillow. After using the pillow for a while it has soften up quite a bit and it's very comfortable now. It's nowhere as hard or as tall as it was when I first got it.

To all you folks out there who's getting this pillow or thinking about it, give it some time and it'll possibly be one of the most comfortable pillow you'll ever use. I'm glad I stuck with it as it's one of the best pillow I've ever used. Honest!

Hi, I generally dont leave review , but this product forced me to do it for the first time . I was having shoulder and neck problem while sleeping , so ordered the shoulder pillow after reading the reviews . The order arrived on time . I opened the order and actually kept it covered with original wrap . I wanted to try the order as generally i have problems with pillow . I used the pillow with pillow case and in night the wrap got damaged . In the morning i had sore neck and shoulder because pillow was too high and hard rock . Its not what they said . But Brookstone wont return it because the wrap is damaged although the pillow is as is . I should have better got the pillow from store than ordering online . Atleast stores will return it if you have physical problems with a product within a day and product being in original shape although the wrap is torn. Better try this pillow in Brookstone store before buying if you have neck and shoulder problem .
