These pillowcases are quite soft after just one wash. I bought them in black because after I have my hair colored, no matter how well it's rinsed, color transfers onto my pillowcases. So I didn't expect them to be too soft at 300 thread count, non-sateen. I was pleasantly surprised. And it was a good fix for my hair color staining problem.

In fact, I'm now considering buying the rest of the set.
