I'll start off by saying I bought 3 of these covers after ALOT of research on several web sites. I went with ELF because price was great and reviews seemed to be good. I don't have a bed bug problem and I want to keep it that way! Opened first two and got them on the King and Queen beds pretty easily with two people and the zipper goes around two of the four sides. I was gentle with the zipper as a precaution since I had a "Heads Up". Then 3 rd time was not so lucky.I always wash everything before it goes on the bed, so returning not an option.Suggest checking everything VERY carefully before but I think hubby had to rip bag open to get it out.Then as I was sewing zipper back in found a rip in fabric... fit is snug so folding over not an option... " light bulb moment" use a patch and iron on. Victory , no more hole... just careful don't burn it( material is " different" use a pressing cloth between aka another piece of fabric. Would I buy product again...hmmm...For the price... it's a bargain! In the store they are $130 for a Queen And hard to find.I can't tell it's under my sheets either. I suggest ELF needs to reinforce their seams better.AND measure your bed it's important! As far as bed bug pets...as I said I' just paranoid,so I can't comment on if it works yet...

The first time I unzipped the zipper, the seam around it started unraveling. That would be a disaster if you were relying on this to contain bed bugs.

I was directed to products like this by my allergist I have a bad allergy to dust mites, and she said this would give me relief. I was wary, however, because there are a lot of products just like this one, and I found it very difficult to determine what made them different, and what made one better than another. To set the record straight:

A lot of people with mattress covers like this complain that it doesn't feel good, or that it makes them hot. I felt no difference at all when it was on or off. No crinkly sounds, no rise in temperature.

I've also read that this cover has problems with the zipper. I took a good look at mine when I put it on, and it's solid. Plus, I love that it has a zipper, because then the mites are really trapped.

And best of all, it does what it says. I'm breathing much better now, and I noticed a change in my allergies immediately.

I wasn't sure I had bedbugs but fortunately I didn't wait too long to make sure I just purchased this zipcover (and the box spring and pillow covers) and zipped up my entire bed and the problem was solved the first night!

I never saw any bedbugs but I did see some bites on myself, but since zipping this onto the bed, not one bite mark. This was REALLY worth it, and arrived quickly, too (I used free shipping).

I suffer from terrible migraines, I recently found out that I suffer from allergies{dust mites}.
