first, you must assemble the product that comes in two boxes, expect beans all over your house! second, it is stiff and a bit cumbersome; not "mold-able" as described. It is called a chair, but is more of a tube of beans that lays on the floor ~ look at the picture, that's all your are going to get.

This is very soft and light, it looks well sewn and came in a pretty soft travel case. The green color is like a pale lime? Gorgeous! I haven't washed it yet, but it looks sturdy. If it gives me problems I'll add them to this review. As it is, its great!

I was very excited for these pillows to come. I had slept on the same pillows during my stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Olathe, KS and absolutely LOVED the pillows. The pillows at the hotel were perfect, not too firm, not too soft. These pillows came in the mail and they were the exact opposite of what i was expecting. Too soft and give you neck pain. They do not keep their shape and you have to re-fluff at least 3 times per night. I would not recommend purchasing these pillows.

I HAD to have these pillows after falling in love with them in my very luxurious room at the Hilton Chicago! However, when I got my own, they didn't seem as comfy as the ones in the hotel. Maybe it was the whole vacation experience, but, I was a bit disappointed, and use them as shams as opposed to the ones I use for sleeping.

My parents bought me other Pacific Coast pillows at Costco, thinking they were the same things, but, they weren't. I MUCH prefer sleeping with them as opposed to the ones here, though. I'm ADDICTED to them! Sorry, Amazon! (Plus, the Costco ones were cheaper, and, since they sell them, I presume they must be the most popular!)

All-in-all, from my exerience with Pacific Coast, they're ALL great!!!!!

I truly enjoy these very comfortable pillows which I found at my last hotel stay. I had to have them. Bought 8 total for two beds. I had never spent so much on pillows, allergen covers and pillow cases but this was a great investment. We spend at least a 1/3 of our hours in bed why not make it a luxurious sanctuary.

Warning: these pillows are quite fluffy. One cannot sleep on two piled up without waking up with mild pain, due to hyperflexion of the neck. One will do, the other can be placed underneath or between one's legs to relieve back pain or whatever. During waking hours in bed they are great for propping up for reading. I truly enjoy them and I would purchase the exact number I did of the standard size again for queen or king size beds.

Fortunately the cases can be unzipped, which means you can replace the pillow inside and/or wash them however, the colors already look like they're bleeding although they're brand new. They are probably not worth $19+ for each in my opinion, but I do think they're cute pillowcases.

Bucky Comfort Bolster Pillow

I have degenerative disc disease in both my lumbar and cervical spine. That being said finding a good pillow has been very important to me. Unfortunately, over the years I have accrued somewhat of a full on pillow graveyard in my apartment. Brand name memory foam, generic memory foam, gel, down, contour, flat, puffy, firm, fluffy every kind of pillow they make, I've tried. I would wake up multiple times a night with the most horrifying neck pain once resulting in a slipped cervical disc when I tried to turn my neck after being awakened from pain. As soon as I ordered this I regretted it as I made room in my pillow graveyard under my bed, expecting that's where it would end up, but I was very wrong. I sleep with this under my neck and I never have neck pain anymore in the middle of the night. There is definitely room for improvement here it gives good support but it is pretty bulky and is not very soft or forgiving, so I do still have some stiffness in my neck with this. I would take that any day, though, over what I was going through before.

I incurred whiplash at age 18 and my neck has never been the same since. Having something supporting my neck is key to my getting a full night's sleep. I've had a couple of different pillows, but this one has, by far, been the best, as it's firm and moldable at the same time. I had to get 2 more, as both my husband and daughter kept on "borrowing" mine.

This product, as well as all the other half-a-dozen Bucky products we have, is wonderful! I've had four whiplash injuries over the past 40 years, with lots of doctors' visits, physical therapy, exercises, and at least a thousand muscle relaxants (Flexeril), and all of them put together don't compare in the least with the relief the Bucky bolster gives me. To get the best support for my nick, I added more millet hulls and stuff the bolster into a slightly smaller pillow slip (one for a decorative pillow), and I now I rarely wake up with muscle spasms or pain in my neck and rarely need a muscle relaxant. The bolster has given me miraculous relief for the year or so I have had it.

I bought a second one for my husband who has all kinds of neck and back problems and it is also miraculous for him, without any changes.

This Bucky is actually filled with some grain other than buckwheat. It flattens out quickly and therefore does not provide the hoped for support.

Beware of the fake positive reviews for this pillow. This pillow is one of the worst purchases we have ever made in our lives. We needed a pillow for cervical support, so we purchased this pillow. Huge mistake. After less than 2 months, this pillow is as flat as a piece of paper. No support at all. Absolutely terrible. Now it's going right in the trash, since we can't return it at this point. Don't waste your money and don't learn the hard way like we did. AVOID THIS PILLOW.

Very nice texture, cool silky against your skin but the design is too small to fit a king size pillow. That is the reason it is rated 1 star.

On the flip side, I would have rated it 5 stars for all other considerations if it had fit the king pillow as advertised.

I have washed it several times ( line dry) and it seems to be holding up great. I am using this king size case for travel and it fits standard size hotel pillows just fine. Plus the brown color prevents the housekeepers from taking it when they change the sheets. Next time, I will order a traditional fit king pillow case with the open end as those fit perfectly.

I've tried various "memory foam" cushions thinking that the difference between Tempur-Pedic and memory foam would be minimal. I was mistaken.

When I first received the parcel it seemed much too light to provide adequate cushioning and dissapointment started to set in. But as soon as I tried the cushion out on my favorite chair I knew this cushion was something special. It is by far the most comfortable seat cushion I've had. Even though it is very light there is no "bottoming out" (pun intended), just pure comfort.

Had one of these before and pretty much wore it out from heavy use due to being able to sit for hours and be comfortable! Highly recommend.

I have had this pillow for six months. Today I located the pillow at Amazon (I got it at Walgreens) with the intention of buying several for holiday gifts. I was sorry for the low reviews since I rely on this pillow for many uses. Soon after I bought it I told family members, "This is what everyone is getting for Christmas. Try to forget you saw it."

I use it almost every day, for reading on the couch or in bed. I love how it can bend in half to fit your neck, and the support it provides. Like the other reviewers said, it is very firm. However, since it can be twisted and folded you can make it rather form-fitting, and then you don't notice the firmness. I like soft pillows, but when you are lying or reclining with your neck extended, soft pillows don't provide enough support. The neck is meant to balance the head, not to support it at angles for prolonged periods of time. Soft pillows make the neck work harder than it should. You can tell after reading in bed for a few hours, if your neck is tired or stiff, you didn't have good support.

Here are some suggestions to get the most value out of this pillow:

If you are using it while reclining, don't just double it over. There are 12 segments to this pillow, like a clock. Instead of folding it at 9 and 3 o'clock, fold it at 8 and 4. The bigger side cradles your head. The smaller side supports the base of your skull and your neck.

Fold it in half (9-3) only when you need neck support while sitting up, as in the picture. Even then you may decide to fold it skewed in some way to best fit your own shape.

Support your hips and back while sleeping by using between your knees as in the picture.

Support your arms or legs. I used this pillow after I had deep, painful bruising from an IV that had to be inserted at my inner elbow, to stabilize my arm. I also use this pillow to cradle my forearm when sleeping on my side, especially when my shoulder is feeling sore.

Some things that really don't seem to work:

I have never found a good use for twisting this pillow.

It really doesn't work for lumbar support. It is not shaped anything like a lumbar pillow. (maybe hemorrhoids?)

Here are some things that I think would improve the pillow:

Being able to heat and cool it.

Stronger seams. It does develop small holes that need a quick mending, causing the microbeads to seep out. I have had to mend two of these.

Pillowcases of some form, so you would feel more comfortable sharing it. Although I don't know how you would make one that would preserve the versatility of the pillow.

I am a Soldier deployed to Afghanistan. I have been using this pillow every night for the last four months. I have used it sleeping on beds, cots, the floor, armored vehicles, airplanes, and helicopters. Not to mention as a head rest as I try to relax reclining back in a chair. Overall this pillow has been very versitile and has held up extremely well. whenever I have to travel I make sure there is enough room in my pack for it. I don't think I will ever travel without it again. I did try to rip the tag off of it, creating a hole at the seem. But that was my fault, not a product of poor construction(if you play rough with things, they will break). But I used some shoe-goo and medical tape to seal the hole, and it is as good as new(maybe even better now that it is slightly deflated).

The pillow is very hard. It actually gave me a headache! We had two of them, and the first one broke within minutes when my husband tried to open it up. Tiny beads flew all over my car. There is a warning on the pillow that says the pellets are hazardous to children and pets. Great!! The second pillow I took on an airplane. It gave me a headache as soon as I started to use it. This pillow is utterly awful!!!!! Save your money!

I just took this pillow on a 19 hour series of flights from the U.S. to Africa. It is the first time I found any pillow that didn't make me feel like i was choking or eating my neck. It holds position and let's you keep your neck in the position that you want it in, without falling into your neighbor's seat. I've continued to use this in my hotel and the house where I'm visiting in the 5 nights I have been here. I'm a happy customer.

Unbelieveably uncomfortable, no matter how you twist,fold or use it. I suppose you can sit on it if you're really "hard up". Only redeeming factor, it won't fall off your suitcase when put over the handle. That's if you haven't already thrown it into the nearest trash can.

Having tried several other lumbar support pillows, primarily for travel, I have found that this Back Booster is at the top of the list. I have used foam rubber, and pillows with those tiny beads. I have used at least two other inflatables. I have used, and just lost, a wire-framed support that worked OK, but was difficult to travel with. It apparently fell off my carry-along bag in my connecting flight's airport. Back Booster stores well in my briefcase and does the back support job perfectly. I have even used the attached elastic "belt" (that is supposed to be used to attach the Booster to the seat) to attach it to my belt so that I won't forget to take it!

These did not live up to the expectations. One actually got a hole in it and the air won't stay in so it is useless. They are more uncomfortable than they claim to be.

I should have returned them but never got around to it and it is probably to late.
