I was not expecting to like this pillow as much as I do. Because it's cotton it's firmer and has more loft than my previous down alternative pillow. I wasn't sure I wanted a 'firm' pillow, but I did want a pillow that wasn't made out of synthetics or animal products, so my options were pretty much limited to cotton, kapok, and natural latex. Since the smell of natural latex gave me a migraine just from being in the same room with it and I'd never heard of kapok before I settled on organic cotton. After sleeping on this pillow I'm really glad I did.

Cotton is going to be firmer than down, but I don't find it firm in the sense that it's uncomfortable. It just supports your head instead of flattening underneath it. After trying it I really prefer it to pillows I've had in the past. I think it might have too much loft for a small child's neck though -but I have the standard size, not the toddler size. Cotton is supposed to compress after awhile, but I haven't had the pillow long enough to comment on that.

I like that it's organic certified, and I like the tightly woven dust barrier. It's not a washable pillow. I use an extra dust mite barrier with it, but maybe that's overkill. For fellow overly-sensitive folk, the pillow did give off a smell, especially when it first arrived. Sort of like bread doe? I slept on it and it didn't give me a headache at all -lots of smells do! -so I think it's probably just the natural scent of the cotton.

All in all, it's a lovely natural product.

Wanted an organic natural 100% pure pillow and this was the best I could find. Pillow arrived and it is VERY FIRM. So, if you are thinking this pillow will give over time, think again. I punch it and move the cotton inside around to try and soften it. The pillow case that contains the cotton is stitched closed so there is not getting inside. It's quality built and as indicated by other reviewers, this pillow does have an odor to it. It's unique smelling and reminds me of a natural smell perhaps but since I've never smelled organic cotton, I can't pinpoint it. I DID wash this (which now I read you shouldn't) and the pillow was like a rock! It was so heavy with water....it took 4 hours in a dryer to dry it...and then still damp, re-dried over 2 days! Don't wash yours! Pillow dried but odor is still there...have had pillow for almost a month now. I like it when I sleep on my side and cradle it in my arms (like I'm holding someone) for extra support of my other arm. Works well! All in all, the pillow is worth the try if you want purity and an organic cotton. Buy from Amazon so you can return if unhappy. Nighty night!

My wife and I bought these pillows because we have a little one who likes to play on our bed and occasionally sleep there and I wasn't thrilled with the cheap foam pillows we had. We try to buy organic whenever we can, so I was delighted to find these. These are adult-sized pillows, by the way, although many stores seem to list them under "baby" items online, probably because most Naturepedic items are geared for babies/toddlers.

The long and short of it is that we love them after having them for four months. They are quite firm, and while I usually prefer a softer pillow, I got used to them very quickly and actually think I sleep better because of them (less neck pain/stiffness). Be aware that the organic cotton fill (Naturepedic also makes one filled with something else that is washable--the organic cotton fill is not) has a noticeable but "natural" smell--my wife likens it to line-dried laundry on a summer day; it's not unpleasant, but it's there when you first get them. After four months, though, the smell has pretty much dissipated. Incidentally, not sure how Amazon fills these orders, but our pillows shipped right from the factory--seems they were made to order (the "production" date stamped on the attached tag was three days after we ordered).

I really don't think there's anything I dislike about them--very pleased with this purchase and recommend them highly. We bought a Naturepedic crib mattress before this, and based on these two purchases will be buying a Naturepedic toddler bed mattress soon.

I really wanted to love this pillow. I've purchased several items by Naturepedic in the past and was very pleased. We tried and tried to use this pillow but it's just too hard to sleep comfortably. I kept thinking it would get softer with more use but it doesn't. Our necks were stiff and sore in the morning. There is also a strong odor that we just can't seem to get used to and it doesn't go away either no matter how much you air it out. It's not an inexpensive pillow so I didn't want to give up on it, but sadly, now I just want to return it.

It seems to me that pillows are so subjective that they're almost impossible to rate. I'm giving five stars because I do like the pillow but everyone's preference is different when it comes to firm/soft/thick/flat. But the main point of my review is to share my thoughts on the Naturepedic organic cotton pillow v. the organic cotton pillow by OrganicTextiles. I purchased both, in standard sizes, from Amazon.

The Naturepedic pillow is firmer and denser, especially denser. It's not fluffy and though it does flatten out a little it stays pretty thick because of the density of the cotton. It took me a couple of nights to get used to it, but I find it quite comfortable now.

The OrganicTextiles pillow is about ten dollars cheaper, which is nice. It's significantly fluffier and softer than the Naturepedic. You can almost feel the tufts of cotton inside it, whereas the Naturepedic pillow feels like one large piece of cotton. I would say that this pillow feels a little more like a standard regular (non-organic non-cotton) pillow.

I guess I'm not that picky about pillows because I like both just fine, even though they feel quite different! Keeping both and will probably order more.

My 3yr old daughter had a Dora throw. For one she was getting to big for it and secondly She spilled something on it during our 9hr car ride and I threw it in a plastic bag until we could get home.You can only imagine what happened to it when i remembered three days later. This mattress cover is very well made and does not have any latex in it. It does not add heat to the bed and is very comfortable. I bought another of these from Sleepys and liked it enough to order this one for my daughter who also just got a new mattress. I'm not fond of the price, but begrudgingly I'd have to say its worth it. Mattresses are expensive and this has a 10 Yr warranty, will keep mattress clean and free from dust mites.

DO NOT BUY a guard master mattress protector unless you do not care that it stops working after it is washed several times. It worked great for about 6 months, then just stopped working, everything started leaking right though. (I have two little ones that sometimes come into my bed during the middle of the nightwhich can mean leaky bottles or diaper leaks on occasionwhich is why when I purchased a new bed, I wanted a mattress protector that came with a 10 year warranty against spills or stains getting onto the mattress).

I called to place a claim and no one returned my call. I called again and again and again and left message after message, with no return calls. Finally I contacted the Dump, where I purchased my mattress and mattress protector and they gave me the number of the guard master sales rep. She was able to help me get my mattress cleaned and sent out a new mattress protector. This time I double checked the wash and care instructions to make sure I was doing every little thing right (I wasbut I was extremely vigilant the second time around). Sure enough it worked great for about 6 months and then just stopped working after so many washes. I have 2 little ones, so you can imagine how upset I am when an accident happened in my relatively new/expensive bed, and it leaked right through the mattress pad onto my mattress. It just sickens me. I have again left multiple messages for the claims service and no response. I am going to call the dump again and see if someone call help me. I am so sick of this company that never returs calls and their mattress pad that doesn't work.

Recently purchased a 4000.00 dollar bed and was sold one of these protectors that is supposdly waterproof and guranteed not! I just received my new rose tree bedding in the mail and I cant wait to cuddle in my bed tonight. It is so soft. I only have one complaint and that is in the product description I was lead to beleive that the decrative pillows came with the set so be advised they do not. The only thing included is the comforter, the two pillow shams, and the bed skirt, other than that it is a very nice set. Now I will just have to pay more to buy the decrative pillows and Euro shams.

This is well made with great accents. The skirt is long and had to hem but I would rather it be long than short. Good quality material. Beautiful colors.

I live in Phoenix, which is known for being, oh, a bit warm during the summer. We had 118 degrees back in June. It was only the fourth hottest day on record. I'm someone who requires a relatively cool environment for sleeping. As a result, it's vital to me to have a sleeping surface that doesn't retain heat when I'm sleeping. I already had a Sleep Innovations 10-inch Sure Temp Memory Foam Mattress Queen Size, and that does the trick for that, but I was using a pair of Ikea pillows which were reasonably comfortable, but retained quite a bit of heat.

Happily this pillow, by the same people who made my mattress, does not. It's cool and it's comfortable! I fluffed it up once and didn't have to mess with it at any point during the night and, unlike with my other pillows, I didn't wake up with a big damp spot on the pillowcase from sweating (I shave my head, so the sweat has nothing to hold it back!). That alone was a nice thing.

Really I'd say this is a great little pillow! It's inexpensive and it more than gets the job done! Highly recommended!

I've never had the luxury of sleeping on a memory foam pillow, as we've always just owned the "cheap" pillows from Target or JcPenney. I sleep on my side or stomach and have the problem of always getting a sore neck from not enough support during the night or needing to prop my head up with two or three pillows in order to get the correct amount of support, while still being comfortable.

After just a few nights of sleep on this particular pillow I'm totally sold. I haven't woken up with a crick in my neck a single time and I haven't needed additional pillows to support my head. There is the perfect amount of filling to conform properly to your head and neck, without being overfull and the quality of the pillow can be felt from the lining on through.

I'm also five months pregnant and have used this as a back supporter, as well, while sitting in bed reading. I realize that's not what it's "meant for," but it did a great job. No need to ever "fluff" it, as it always retains it's shape and it's really comfortable.

I plan to replace all of our pillows with these. I was very impressed with the pillow itself and my sleeping results.

I have owned several memory foam pillows, including some that were much more expensive than this one. I LOVE the Sleep Innovations pillow!

This pillow is firm. Some memory foam is too soft to provide good support and your head just sinks into it. "Fluff" and position this pillow and it will cradle your head and neck, providing comfort and support. I have also used the pillow as a back support when reading on the sofa, and it helps keep me comfortable.

This is a quality pillow. The case removes easily for washing, and the zipper is well made.

One of the things that makes this pillow different from other memory foam pillows is that instead of a block of foam, the pillow is made of small beads of memory foam and gel memory foam. The beads make the pillow better able to conform to the shape of your head and neck, and they also make the pillow cooler.

I sleep better with the Sleep Innovations pillow and wake up without a stiff neck. I am very happy with this pillow.

As a side/stomach sleeper, I purchased this pillow to help with some neck pain I was experiencing.

I found it to be an incredibly comfortable pillow, however had a few gripes. I found that by the morning the pillow would be quite misshapen and my head sink fairly far down into the pillow, rather than being cradled.

I've now had it about 2 months and the pillow doesn't retain its shape at all. It's floppy, and needs to be left alone for hours to get it back into a sleepable shape. I'm now shopping for a replacment.

Hudson Science of Sleep U-Neck Pillow SS63831

I bought this pillow to replace a U-shaped pillow I lost at a hotel stay. I was very disappointed in its support ability for sleeping. In desperation I opened one seam and added at least 1/2 as much pillow fill as was in the product when purchased. Much better. I could have made this myself for less than $10, but would have included welt seams and other quality details my lost pillow had.

Rose Tree Stoneleigh Pillow

I was terribly excited about this pillow for my new 'cream' leather rocker/recliner, especially because both sides have a different pattern (you can't really tell in the images of the product, but one side is striped and the other has a fleur-de-lis pattern of sorts [my apologies to any interior designers out there who balked at that pattern description, I'm just not sure what the appropriate term is for that pattern!])

At any rate, my complaints are two-fold, but they're pretty significant when you're talking about a throw pillow that costs this much:

First, the tassels. Upon receiving the pillow, two were missing. Okay, not the end of the world, but for an OCD kid like me, it took some of the wind out my sails that my perfectly tasseled pillow began it's life of decorative classiness with gaps in its frill. However, when I removed the pillow from the box and set it down on the chair SET IT DOWN another tassel fell off. I kid you not, I didn't 'throw' the pillow on the chair, I 'placed' it, and that was enough to jostle another tassel. Lame. (Since then I've lost yet another, this time due to a guest sitting in the chair with this as a lumbar pillow, tassel popped off when he stood up)

Second, the 'fleur-de-lis' pattern was not centered properly on the pillow. Let me try to explain this as best I can. Look at the picture of the pattern...see how there is a cream pattern in the center, and dark brown at the top center and bottom corners? That looks alright, right? For MY pillow, the pattern side was 98% cream, it was as if the fabric shifted upward and there is almost NO dark brown pattern at all. I just have the very smallest tip of the dark brown at the top-center, and two tiny dark brown tips in the bottom corners...essentially taking this lovely two-toned pattern down to just one. And a cream pattern on a cream background laying on a cream-colored leather chair looks...well, it looks pretty awful. :(

"So what?", you say. "You've still got a perfectly fine cream and dark brown striped pattern on the other side, right?". Yes, you're right, and that's how it's placed currently (sans four tassels...sigh), but when I BOUGHT this pillow, I didn't even know the back side was striped! I'd purchased it FOR the fleur-de-lis pattern because that matched OTHER patterns on pillows on my couch and throughout my interior decor. So, the striped side doesn't even look very good. And since I didn't even expect there to be a striped side when I bought it, I can't use that to 'save' it in this review. I give this product 2 stars...and that's only because it's soft and comfortable, and it functions as a pillow (as it should)

All in all, for this price, you could get TWO pillows from TJ Maxx or Ross that would likely be of a better quality...and without tassels! :)

2012 Improved Model Intex Comfort Rest Deluxe Raised Queen Airbed Air Mattress Bed w/ Built-in AC Pu

We bought a smart airbed from Amazon, got a leak at the seam in the first day and had to return it. From the reviews we read, the intex brand airbed got mixed reviews, however, priced within our budget. Even with most reviewers complained the intex airbed leaks, we decided to take a chance on this newer 2011 model.

The airbed arrived, very well packaged and within 3 days. Compared with the other airbed, the intex airbed seems to be built with a thicker material, and the handy built in inflation pump is much easier to use than the separate handheld pump, and it inflates much faster & quieter. We got the new airbed inflated in about 2~3 minutes, let it sit overnight and no leakage was detected. Used it for the following weekend when taking a trip to Florida, and it is as comfortable as a $1000 regular bed.

One minor complaint is the airbed seems to be smaller than a queen size regular bed, however, for the $70 we paid, it is worth every single penny.

This bed was very comfortable to sleep on. Set up was a breeze. I really liked that the pump was attached to the bed -no parts to lose. Me & my daughter slept on it while on vacation. It was a bit smaller than queen size, though -the sheets were loose.

This is the 3rd airbed by Intex I've purchased in the last year. This one leaked from the very first inflation (and it wasn't just stretching). I left it inflated a week before use. Had to add air every day. The first night we slept on it, by early morning, it had lost 1/3 of the air. Ended up pulling back muscles to get out of it to pump it back up. Needless to say, this went into the trash. This was supposed to be the 'improved' model, but they don't have it right yet!

Amy Butler Dream Daisy 400 Thread Count Sheet Set

Pros. Good seller-fast shipping. These Amy Butler organic sheets are very well constructed and should last a very long time. The pattern is gorgeous. I really like the Indigo and turquoise combination. Very nice detailing in the print and construction. The sheets feel stiffer than any other organic sheets I've ever had.

Cons: Beware if you're sensitive to synthetic fragrance or chemicals. I've been buying organic bedding since the late 80's and this is the first time that I've had an issue with synthetic fragrance. It was extremely hard to remove. Bed Bath and Beyond, a fragrant store, is Amy Butler's exclusive retail store to carry her bedding. The sheets may have been in a store absorbing the fragrances before it was sold as clearance. Dream Daisy is a discontinued pattern.

It could be that the fragrance was added by the manufacturer. It's doubtful since these are made with organic cotton but more and more manufacturers are using fragrances to mask chemical odors in new fabrics. The sheets are stiffer than most organic sheets; stiffness is a sign that they may have formaldehyde, a common additive to reduce wrinkling, or something else added to the cotton and they masked the odor with the fragrance.

My top concern was softness & the quality of the leopard print & they are great on both. It's hard to find the super soft sheets anymore, but I'd give these an 8. The print also looks great, not the cheap cheesy looking leopard print. Nice muted gold background, so they are very rich looking.
