It is not as thick as I was expecting but after cuddling up in it I am glad. It is still a thick blanket. This is the softest comforter I have ever owned on both sides but especially the sherpa side. It has the appearance of a much more expensive blanket. I can't attest to how it will hold up but it seems very good quality.
