Leachco Snoogle Mini Compact Side Sleeper

Leachco Snoogle Mini Compact Side Sleeper, Sage/White dotI honestly don't understand why people are disappointed in this. First off, I'm 5'7. I'm taller (and probably larger) than the other users and I will tell you why I am fine with this product.

1) I already have a pillow for my head. That is not what I bought this for. I bought this for my bodily aches and pains and it fully helps with that. I think everyone else is expecting too much from this pillow, and if it's "too short" or "too small" use your other pillow too. It's not rocket science.

2) I share a queen size bed with my husband (and occasionally my large dog too). This pillow is the perfect size because no one feels like they're losing bed space. It fits very comfortably.

3) I'm quite a mover while asleep. I mean, I'm all over the place. This pillow is compact and light enough to shift around and move through the night with me. I'm sure you will not find the same ease with a full-size body pillow.

4) The very best thing about this pillow is that you can easily shape it into a giant "O" and sleep on your stomach with your belly in the center. In fact, I haven't slept so soundly since being pregnant than I have when I'm able to sleep on my stomach. This easily allows for that, even though the pictures don't show that option.

5) If you're wondering why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, it is because yes, the cover is removable and washable, but the design of it makes it very difficult to remove. There are no easy-access zippers, velcro or anything else. It is a tightly-sewn sleeve on one end of the pillow. Not very convenient.

I think everyone just needs to lighten up. Everyone expects this to be a miracle, do-all pillow, but it's just a pillow. It is what you make it. In fact, you should buy this for its smaller size than for anything else. Also, for the price, it's a killer deal, not to mention you can use it for nursing once your little one arrives.

I got the Snoogle Mini instead of the full size because I didn't want to make the bed too crowded; I'm just under 5'5". It stays in place and keeps me on my side the whole night. The first night I used it I had hip tightness on one side the next day, but since then it's been quite comfortable.

I lie on my side with the Snoogle in front of me and the hooked end between my legs. The tapered end hits me right around the neck, which isn't how I think it was designed, but now that it's a bit more pliable after some use it's very comfortable, and I hug the top of the pillow while I sleep. It's also comfortable if it shifts a little away from my body in the front.

Cons: It is a bit awkward to turn over without messing up the covers. The pillow case is difficult to get on and off, but at least it's washable.

Overall, this is what I had in mind when I started feeling hip pain and finding it hard to stay on my side. The larger Snoogle only seems practical in a king sized bed or when sleeping alone. This is the next best thing.

Perfect pillow! I am 4 1/2 months pregnant and a stomach or back sleeper normally. Regular body pillows just didn't work. If I moved around, the body pillow would be left behind. With the Snoogle mini I can still use my normal pillows for my head and with the shape of the snoogle it supports where I needed it ( my hips and tummy since I tend to feel sore there) and stays with me if I try to turn over in my sleep. Its not meant for both head and leg support unless you are very small in stature. I am 5' and it is prefect between my legs and supporting my tummy with a little support for my lower back / tailbone. Also great if your sharing a bed with someone. There is plenty of room for me, snoogle and my husband. I've heard complaints about other pillows being too bulky. And a nice bonus that the color is really cute. I would HIGHLY recommend this product to any and all pregnant women out there.

This pillow has worked great for me. I'm 6 months pregnant--It is the Snoogle MINI so it is not designed to be a full body pillow, but that is what I liked about it. It allows me to continue sharing the bed with my husband, which is very important to me!

Definitely would recommend!

I am 5'5", 185 lbs, and 17 weeks into my first pregnancy. My back was beginning to hurt, and I was constantly worried about sleeping on my back, so I was waking up at least eight times a night. I thought it was ridiculous to spend close to fifty dollars on a pillow. I tried merely sticking a pillow between my legs while I slept, but it just ended up on the floor. I looked at both the mini and total snoogle. Although the full size pillow looked great, we only have a queen size bed and I was concerned about my husband having room to sleep next to me.

The first night I slept with the pillow was wonderful. My back felt much better, and I slept through the whole night. I generally use the larger U-shaped section between my legs and the spacing is perfect for relieving my back. I often wrap my arm and sometimes my leg around the part of the pillow that is parallel to my body. This position keeps me from turning over as I sleep. Overall, my back pain has lessened, and I sleep through most of the night except for bathroom trips.

The other reviewers had some concerns.

(1) Size: The pillow is not a full sized body pillow. If I had a king size bed, I would have considered getting the bigger snoogle. With the mini snoogle, you will mostly likely use part of it along your body and the U-shaped section either for your head or between your legs. This size is nice because I can still use my own tempur-pedic pillow, and I don't have to sleep husbandless.

(2) Itchy cover: I do wish that the cover was softer, but it is by no means itchy. I will most likely be making a cover out of a nicer material, but I sleep fine on the given cover.

(3) Tip poking: The U-shaped section is slightly uncomfortable when between my legs because the tip tends to hang out around my butt as I sleep. After about a week of using the mini snoogle, I have trained the tip to rest above my thigh and it has stopped poking me precariously. The other end did tickle my neck as I sleep. Now I tuck it underneath itself and it no longer bothers me.

In conclusion: Get a pregnancy pillow. The mini snoogle helps with my back pain and keeps me from rolling over during the night. I would suggest it for purchase.
