Here is some tips to do if you purchase this mattress:
1st: Open the mattress as soon as you get it and let it deflate to it's original size!
2nd: Take off the zippered cover that is on the mattress and wash it by itself. From other memory foam mattress purchase reviews I noticed everyone said the smell lingered too long. I took off the zippered cover right away which I noticed contained a lot of the smell. Once i washed it, the smell was gone! I did have to wash it 2x but it does the trick!
3rd: I used Baking Soda sprinkled on top of the mattress the 1st night to absorb the smell then vacuumed it off.
4th: Use dryer sheets laid out on top of the mattress after you vacuum up the baking soda and let them stay on for a couple of days. The dryer sheets will absorb the chemical smell and also make your mattress smell better! I left my on for 3 days and it worked perfectly! No more chemical smell!
I wanted to share these tips so that everyone can enjoy their mattress when they purchase it and get a good nights sleep!
I am definitely enjoying a super comfy bed!

So far, I have no complaints. The mattress arrived "sealed" inside a super heavy (100+ lbs) plastic roll. There was no major (nor minor for that matter) unpleasant odor. It took only 5-6 hrs for the mattress to reach its "operational height." I did notice that a couple of corners never made to 14 inches (tapered look)...could be that the cover is too tight around the edges...no big deal for me (the edges in question only made to about 12 inches).I am 6 ft tall and weigh 260 lbs and I find the mattress to be a little bit too firm. After sleeping for years on a coil spring mattress topped with 2.5 inches of memory foam, it took a while to get used to 14 inches on foam.
About the "heat-retaining" issue that supposedly affects foam mattresses: I like it very cool where I sleep (inside room temperature needs to be below 70 degrees) and so far (even with the heat on) I never had any "over heating" problems.
One thing that got me worried: unlike most foam mattresses sold on Amazon that come with 5-20 years warranty this mattress has a 30 day warranty... What's up with that???
I will update my post in a few months...

Maybe I'm wrong but I was under the impression that Sara Payton foam matresses were US made. Came UPS shipped from Canada 4-5 days after ordered. So far it is cool and very comfortable...If you are NOT used to a foam matress they take some time to adjust to!Want Sarah Peyton Convection Cooled 14-inch Firm Support Memory Foam Mattress Discount?
Updated review. I returned this mattress as I found it very hot and uncomfortable. I didn't notice it as I got in, but after a few hours, I found I sunk into the mattress and the foam surrounded me, creating unbearable heat and it was nearly impossible to shift positions as I was stuck in the mold the foam formed around me. The foam is slow to return to it's full, unmolded position. After sending this back, I looked at other mattresses at a retail outlet and found this most similar in feel to TempurPedic's memory foam mattress. I assume it would do the same thing after laying in it a couple of hours. So, the mold that forms causes excessive heat, despite the title of the product, and makes it hard to move. After looking at the store, I think the latex foam mattresses would be much better, although without being able to try one overnight, I can not confirm.I returned this product. I had much difficulty in returning the item as it was so large. At first I didn't know how to pack it. I tried contacting Amazon and UPS, and neither could provide suggestions. I wound up wrapping it in a medium duty (3.5 mil), 25' x 12' tarp found in Home Depot's painting department along with a lot of duct tape. UPS eventually came around and said it was too big. I wasn't surprised by this and had informed Amazon before hand that I didn't think UPS would pick it up. Afterwards, I tried contacting Amazon a few more times and they were insistent that UPS would pick it up or I could use FedEx or USPS. Of course, none of these would pick it up as it was too large. After about 10 conversations with Amazon, I finally found someone who transferred me to the large products department. They scheduled a pick up via CEVA Logistics and things went smoothly from there, although CEVA is mega-slow; their 5 day service took 3 weeks.
So, if you are like me and don't like the mattress and thus need to return the product, wrap it up in a 3.5 or 4 mil 12' x 25' tarp and contact Amazon, requesting assistance from the large product (or maybe it was large package) department.
