Velour Pillow Case Cover for Contour Pillows

I bought this thinking that it would fit what I thought was my standard size contour pillow. It doesn't. It is much too big. My pillow, I guess, is a 'petite' pillow, measuring 19x12x3. This case ... I wish I would have measured it for this review ... is much bigger... looking as though it would fit a standard/queen size contour pillow. Hopefully this will help those who have a petite pillow like mine not make the mistake of ordering it. I ended up calling TempurPedic's main number and was able to order the correct size. I found their number online.

Anyone that owns a contoured pillow knows how hard it is to find contoured pillow cases that fit your pillow exact as the one that came with it. Flat traditional pillow cases do not cut it either. The truth is that is not that many places claiming to carry them. If you search on-line like I did, I found one for over $30. That's insane for just a pillow case. I was also appalled to see that Tempur-pedic does not sell replacement covers through their website, maybe not at all for their own pillows.

When I found this pillow cases I was pleased to see that someone offered something. I was still surprised by the $12/ea price tag. I was looking for so long, I figured that I would get these a try, so I purchased two of them. When they finally arrived, they looked well made, the fabric was close to the original one. When it came time to put one on the pillow, that's when the disappointment set in. It's fit was very loose and really did not follow the true contours of the a premium contour pillow, perhaps it would fit a cheap knock-off perfectly.

After a few washes, the cases are somewhat holding up for the time being. Not much can be said on the ease of removing oily hair residue left behind on the fabric. I have noticed a looser fit each time they come back from the wash. My opinion is that these could have been sold for less from what they were and what they do.
