Cuddle Ewe™ Underquilt & Free Pillow (Full Size)

Cuddle Ewe™ Underquilt & Free PillowFrom time to time I wonder whether there is a different way to make the bed even more comfortable, but every time I sleep somewhere else I realize that nothing really compares to sleeping on really thick wool. We have a latex mattress so the Cuddle Ewe is on top of the thin topper on that. I don't like bedding that can't be washed, so I've encased mine in a Pristine zippered allergy cover and put the whole thing under the Pristine zippered mattress encasing. Nothing's getting in there (except the allergy covers are not waterproof). Then I use a standard washable mattress pad as usual. The wool is warm or cool and doesn't seem to stay damp even with night sweats. I've tried the super dense foams and they seem sort of clammy, even under several layers. Also, I don't want any material with fumes. I recently bought a new Cuddle Ewe for another bed and it had a strong smell when I unwrapped it so I called the company to find out whether any flammability chemicals had been used. They said no, that the wool was only washed. They said the cotton cover fabric came from Germany, which made me feel good because I think Germany has pretty strict environmental standards. The smell went away when I aired it out.
