MARRIKAS Pillow Top Goose Down Feather Bed Featherbed KING

I purchased this Featherbed in late March 2012 Just over 4 months ago. I am getting ready to throw away a $200 featherbed; but not after trying to contact the seller first. When I first purchased my featherbed, their were some negative reviews about the product, however those seem to be erased now. I should have listened to those reviews.

We purchased the featherbed and the cover. First of all, it does not have as high of a loft as pictured, but we were willing to live with that. It also requires daily fluffing, which we figured was part of the territory. Over the months, even with the cover, the feather "pokes" increased signifantly. I removed the cover today and flipped it over and was shocked to find that thousands of feathers had poked through and escaped the featherbed. This was unknown with the featherbed cover that we had put on when we purchased the featherbed. I have taken several pictures because it was so significant. Hopefully I can find a way to attach these. This is an inferior, cheaply, MADE IN CHINA product.

I called the owner of Marrikas and she basically said too bad because she only stands behind Amazon's 30 day period. This product is too inferior to be on the market and I have a feeling that she knows since she keeps relisting the items so that the reviews will not show up.

Got this topper, stuck my hand into the bag, and it felt oddly damp. Plus, my hand got all scratched from the feathers sticking out (not, like, SCRATCHED scratched... but it certainly didn't feel good).

I didn't take it out of the bag and returned it immediately.

I'm still on the search for an awesome pillow topper (I won't be going with real feather, though, as I assume they all have the "feathers sticking out" issue)

I have purchased this bed at least twice and have been very satisfied with the item. It has arrived fluffy and while some feathers do escape, unless you buy a cover with 1500 thread count and over, feathers are bound to escape. I am ordering 3 more for a friend and do not hesitate to recommend the same. Incidentally, these mattresses crossed the Pacific Ocean and arrived in great condition.
