Pacific Coast Touch of Down Standard Pillow - Featured in Many Hilton Hotels and Resorts

Pacific Coast Touch of Down Standard Pillow - Featured in Many Hilton Hotels and ResortsWhen I travel I always take my own pillow. But I happen to use one of the hotels pillows for a nap and WOW! my neck felt better than it had felt in a long time. So I played detective and after finding the name of the pillow/company

I found one on Amazon (naturally). Thanks

I am very pleased overall with this pillow. They are as soft as I expected and provide a very comfortable night's rest for me. The only downside is that the pillow isn't as "fluffy" in visual look as I would like. It flattens out a bit, but it is definitely very comfortable and worth the money.

After sleeping on these pillows in Doubletree and other Hilton hotels, I just had to have one. Just to try it out before investing in an entire set, I purchased one pillow from Pacific Pillows' eBay site in February 2012. The item was a good price, arrived within days, and was well well-packaged. It was mostly downhill after that. Once the plastic was removed, the pillow emitted a HORRIFIC foul odor. I followed the package instructions to fluff it and run it through the dryer for a few minutes; the smell grew worse. I read up on caring for these pillows on different websites, which noted that duck down pillows typically have an odor and it would help to let it sit outdoors for awhile. I didn't bother to return it because it wasn't worth it to pay return shipping fees. The odor finally went away after a month (or maybe I just got used to it and could tell it was smelly). Ignoring the odor, sleep quality was excellent for the first month: easy fluffing, great head/neck support, comfortable to sleep on. In the second month, the pillow began to lose firmness/support and required more and more fluffing. The quality declined over time and now it doesn't stay fluffed at all. In the early hours of my sleep, the pillow quickly flattens like a pancake and I can definitely feel the "inner pillow chamber" which feels like a hard ball. It's difficult for me to find a good pillow, and my neck, back, and head aches all over again. The pillow had so much promise in the hotel--just don't bring it home!

UPDATE 12/26/12: This pillow is now close to pancake flatness. I puff it up several times throughout the night and it loses substance within seconds. I changed the rating from 2-star to 1-star.
