Contemporary Top Hat Microfiber Rocker Recliner

The chair color is just what I wanted.

The recliner is a nice size. It is not bulky and this recliner works well in apartments with limited space. Although, the recliner is small my neighbor is male over six feet tall and about 280 pounds and the chair fit him comfortably. I had to ask him to get up so that I could test the recliner. Yes. The recliner is very comfortable.

My neighbor put the recliner together easily. The back of the recliner slipped into the base and you could hear the recliner click into secure position. The installation took about a couple of seconds.

The quality of the chair is excellent for the price.

I can't believe how well the color of the recliner matches my decor.

I purchased this recliner in Berry, and the color is beautiful. The material isn't microfiber at all. It is more of a corduroy, but a very soft corduroy. There were little plastic strings, as another review mentioned, that you can feel when you rub your hand over the arms of the chair. They can be pulled out easily, but are a little difficult to see, so it can take awhile to remove all of them... which you will want to do, because they poke your hands and arms. The bottom base is wooden. Not sure how that compares to a metal base, but thought I should mention it. The chair rocks very smoothly, without even the slightest squeak. I really loved the color, and the corduroy material, but unfortunately I had to return it. The other reviews led me to believe that this chair is petite, and it is in a sense. The seat is small, and the arms hugged my hips, but the chair has a very high back and sits very high from the floor. I felt like I was in a giant's chair! I'm 5'3 and my feet didn't quite touch the ground. When reclined, my legs actually extended several inches beyond the foot rest, so that wasn't comfortable. Because of the high back, and my short length, it was hard to recline fully and stay reclined, without the seat closing back up and pushing me forward. Also, it didn't fit well in a corner, and needed to be pulled an extra foot away from my corner wall than my previous recliner to allow a full recline. The price was great ($285) so I figured I'd take the risk and hoped this chair would be a great fit for me, but I've learned my lesson, and will not be purchasing this kind of furniture online in the future. Also want to note that the package was extremely damaged when it arrived. A large hole on the side of the box, and the box was actually OPEN. Amazon did not use enough tape, and the flaps must have opened during shipment. It would have been nice if UPS would have applied some extra tape during the two day shipping process, but that's not their job.. although, it might make their job easier instead of having the task of toting around open boxes. All in all.. if you're looking for a recliner with a high back and some decent cushion, and you're taller than 5'3 and don't mind if your feet extend past the footrest, this is probably a pretty good match for you!

I ordered this item for my mother who lives in a rural area almost 100 miles from the nearest furniture store. It was delivered within ten days of my order date, well before Christmas and in great condition. Assembly was quick and easy. She loved the color, the compact size and the comfort. I loved the price and the ability to have it delivered for free to her front door. The only negative thing that she had to say about it was that it sits a little bit high and her feet don't reach the floor (she's 5'4"). However, since it's also a rocker, she is able to rock forward in order to reach the ground and stand up. My dad is 6'1" and sits very comfortably in this chair.

Bought chair for 71 yr old spry mother, who is about 5'6" & weighs about 190lbs. She loves it, but the seat is a little small because the arms are oversized. Once the arms are worked in a little bit, it provides her plenty of room. She says it's very comfortable.

The color is great coffee (beige), and the fabric looks like a very fine corduroy texture. Very nice and soft.

I was worried she may have difficulty putting it up and down with the lever for the footrest, but no issues. Pretty easy and doesn't take a lot of muscle.

Very easy to put together!! The back just snaps onto the bottom section. Was done in about 30 seconds!

I was going to rate this 4 stars because of the seat size, but it does provide dimensions in the spec.....just difficult to really know how big that is without seeing. I changed to 5 stars, because it's not the products fault for size, since it stated the dimensions.

I would recommend this chair for most, but beware if you are a larger person.
