I bought this comforter because of the great reviews and price. Down comforters can be quite pricey and a bit much to deal with, especially during the summer time. With that being said, I thought that this specific comforter would fit the bill. The comforter is light weight, it is comfortable, and for the price appears to be well made. I thought everything was fine until I went to wash it.

When I removed it from the duvet cover, I found what seemed like thousands of fiber pieces everywhere. I am not sure what caused this, but I am sure it is not normal. It wasn't the common feather leakage you see with down comforters in general. It was much much worse. Now it won't stop shedding and these pieces are nearly impossible to remove. No matter how much you pick up, new ones show up.

I basically have 2 options: Put it back in the duvet cover and deal with this problem whenever I need to wash the cover, or simply throw it away. I think I have no choice but to choose the latter.

I highly recommend spending a few extra dollars for another product.

My son has a lot of allergies so I decided to replace our down comforter with this one. I wasn't sure about purchasing a comforter online without seeing it first, so I was a little skeptical. Turns out, it was a great purchase. It's lightweight, yet provides a lot of warmth, and you can toss it into your washing machine for cleaning. I was concerned about buying a comforter/duvet insert online because how would I know if it was the right weight? I took the chance with this one and I am very pleased with it.

When I took it out of the packaging, I thought it was going to be way too lightweight for our needs because it felt thin. We keep our furnace low at night (65 degrees) and I still need to turn back the comforter at times. You can barely feel the weight of the comforter and yet the warmth is very satisfying.

The size is appropriate to fit inside a king-size duvet cover nicely (check your measurments, they are not all the same size). The fabric is soft and pliable with 9" squares of quilting to hold the filler in place.

Overall quality seems to be very high with this product.

I purchsed this comforter after discovering that I have dust mite allergies. I have to say, from the first night I put this comforter on the bed, I have not had ***any*** more issues with itchy red eyes and a stuffy nose upon waking in the morning. Just for that I am giving it 5 stars!

Now for the product as other reviewers have stated, it is a deceptively lightweight comforter. I was very skeptical that it would keep me warm. We live in a snowy region and I use a mattress heating pad to keep warm (since the thermostat drops to 65 at night). Well, I am happy to report that the comforter does keep me as warm as our previous one, and I don't even need to use an additional blanket on my side of the bed!

The outer material is 100% cotton, but is woven so finely that it feels more like nylon or polyester. It does have a slight crinkly or sliding sound when you move it but it doesn't bother me. I put it inside a comforter cover so I don't have to wash the comforter as frequently. The comforter does have loops at the corners so you could tie it to a cover, but unfortunately my cover doesn't have any ties. However we haven't had any issues with the comforter bunching inside the cover.

We have a queen bed but purchased a king size comforter and cover. This was totally the right decision, since the comforter only extends down halfway to the floor as it is. I can't imagine how we would make a queen size work.

We have only had this comforter a short time but I am happy with it and I wish I had bought it months ago. I would probably have chosen a heavier weight if I'd had a choice, but in fact it works just fine. I hope that it continues to work as well after washing (which I haven't tried yet).

This is hands down the best comforter that I have ever owned. It is very warm(great for cooler climates),easy to clean(fits right in the washer), and so soft. I absolutely love this comforter!! I bought the Cal King for my King sized bed since the King sizes tend to run small and barely cover the bed. This comforter hangs right down to the bed skirt and is very lightweight. But don't let that fool you, it is quite warm(not recommended for warmer climates). It has a nice silky feel to it, very soft, yet a little slippery. That was the only drawback. Watch out when you sit on the edge of your bed because you could slide right off. I was surprised at how easy this is to clean. Fits right in the washer and dries very fast!! A great investment and I highly recommend buying.
