SpaceSleeper Pillow - SpaceSleeper Pillow - SPACESLEEPER

SpaceSleeper Pillow - SpaceSleeper Pillow - SPACESLEEPERI purchased this a few weeks ago so wanted to give a review because after extensive research I could only find one review from a real person. I have TMJ and a big trigger is when I sleep. I tend to sleep on my TMJ side too which causes unreal pain upon waking and for the rest of the day. I was using a round type pillow pushed against the headboard so half of my face would be off the pillow but during the night it would move so that gave me the motivation to order this with only one review.

I purchased this on their website and was happy with the packaging and shipping time etc. I have to admit when I got this on first look (as with most things you get online) is did I pay $35 for this? But after using it I realized it's made out of good sturdy materials and made to last. It doesn't have a material tag so you may have to ask them about that if you are allergic to anything.

At first when I used it I had it high on my head so it was giving my neck a angle when I moved on my side. After reading the directions I learned you should wear it like a hat and over your ears so it will be balanced out. I wear it slightly above my ears because it was squishing my ears.

Another thing it is tight and more so when you first put it on. (I measured my head several times upon ordering because there is several sizes.) It isn't so tight that it is painful and after about a week I got used to it. Benefit of that is that it doesn't move and on the directions it says after awhile it will loosen up. (Just like shoes I guess.) My head is shaved so I had no issues with hair so not sure how that factors in. Also it did cause a little sweating but the material on the inside was comfortable in spite of that.

During the first week I had a cheap flat pillow underneath but found it better to have no pillow so there was no angle. I'm sure that is a personal preference. Overall this has worked good for me and has lessened the pain I have so would recommend this and purchase it again.

When they email to ask what size & color choose a size larger than you think. I chose medium since sm. med, lg, & xlg didn't tell me much. It is so tight I couldn't possibly wear it 5min. I assumed it fastened on, but you pull it on. If you have hair you care about, forget it. Annnnnd-it is not returnable under any circumstances. Just a solid ring of foam covered in fabric sitting in my trash can.

I bought this product for my TMJ surgery post op care. The pillow is comfortable and has a very nice texture to it. I need to sleep in a sitting position for at least one month, and this pillow is helping me not to strain my neck muscles.

It's a must have for any oral surgery post op care, wisdom teeth removal, rhinoplasty, ect.

I didn't realize until I had to sleep somewhere without it that this is the best thing that ever happened to my neck, shoulders, back and face! I know it doesn't look pretty, but I've been searching all over for something that would do just what this does. I don't understand why this isn't the only pillow in the stores.

The best unanticipated perk? People don't think I look as old as I am.
