The product does not say its vinyl. That said, I don't sleep with an actual pillow in my pillowcase. I sleep with a down throw that is folded up and the goose down feathers work their way out. This product keeps them in. It is a bit crinkly and noisy but you get used to it and I put a couple of cotton pillow cases over it and its not too bad.So, for me it is ok and I use it but I can see how others would not like it at all
I do think the seller should have said it was vinyl
