Comfort Pillow

Got a pair of these and I found them to be really comfortable, 5 stars. However, I looked at the tag and it says 100% polyurethane. It has me a little worried about toxicity of polyurethane reaching my body if I'm placing my head on this thing for 8 hours a day. Also I've read that if this pillow contains the flame retardant Polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE), it could be even worse. . I pray that PBDE is not in this product, no matter how comfortable it is.

I don't recommend for back sleepers. I find it to be too thick and wake up with sore shoulder/neck muscles. It seems okay, though, when I sleep on my side.

For a couple of years I have toyed with the idea of purchasing a memory foam type of pillow due to head aches upon waking in the morning. These pillows are so hard, I now have headaches due to the density of the pillow. They came in nice plastic bags, are very streamlined but painful.

I often suffer from lower back pain especially after laying in bed all night. I always assumed it was the bed but after trying out this pillow I realized what a difference a pillow can make to the equation. The pillow is somewhat firm (most memory foam pillows I've tried are), so it's not an immediate sensation when you lay your head on it, and it definitely takes some time to get use to. But the real comfort is determined by how much better I feel in the morning, and this pillow does the trick. Now I can't speak to the price point, I got mine on sale, so it's hard for me to speak to the value, just to the quality. It does come with a handled zipper plastic bag which is nice for travelling with it.
