Royal Heritage Home Regent Street 8-Piece Comforter Set

Royal Heritage Home Regent Street 8-Piece Comforter Set, Queen SizeThis is a nice comforter set, especially for the price. Quality isn't too bad either. However, I was expecting it to be more cream than blue. Most of the comforter is the blue color where I was hoping that the blue was only a stripe across instead of 3/4 of the comforter. Also the shade of blue just wasn't what I was looking for either. Because of these reasons I am returning it, however, they are all my personal preferences. But If you are looking for this color of blue and don't mind it being mostly blue then you should buy this set because you would probably be happy with it.

I purchased this for our guest bedroom and it looks so elegant and beautiful. Love the rich colors and all the shams that came with it.

I implore you, please DO NOT buy this comforter set. Wait until you hear what happened to me.

I ordered it the first time, and it came within a week. I unzipped the bag to remove the comforter, and noticed a very large stain and two blatantly obvious rips in the fabric of the comforter, without even removing it from the bag. Ok, fine. Sometimes things get damaged. So I went to amazon.com and printed a return label no harm, no foul and they said that a replacement had already been shipped.

When I received the replacement, I removed it from the shipping box and recycled the box. It was a few days before I had the opportunity to actually open the bed set, and when I finally did open, it looked okay. Because of the first incident I was inspecting it very thoroughly, and I have never been so glad that I did. Upon looking at one of the ivory pillow shams, I noticed a faint discoloration. When I flipped in inside out to inspect what it was, I found a blood stain. That's correct: DRIED BLOOD. Now one of two things happened: either this was a used bed set that amazon was selling as new (which wouldn't explain how the stain got on the inside of the pillowcase and not the outside) or during production someone in the factory was injured and the result ended up on my bedding. If the latter is true, then it makes me seriously concerned about the working conditions in the factories that amazon orders their products from, and this was not a small amount of blood by any means.

When I called Amazon to share my shock and disbelief with them, I spoke with a very nice man who was just as shocked as I was at the blood stain. He immediately refunded my money, and requested that I ship the bed set back. I asked him if it was possible that I just dispose of it so myself and others don't have to come into contact with someone's anonymous blood, and he said, "You know if this was a $50 sheet set, I would tell you to burn it, but as it's a bed set that cost over $100, I'm going to need you to send it back." So now, I have to spend money on a shipping box, and ship off a bed set with blood literally crusted to it, through the mail. I've never had a bad experience with Amazon in the years that I've been a customer, but this has seriously impacted my likelihood to buy anything from them again. BLOOD. Disgusting.

The comforter set is very beautiful but I do not recommend washing it too often. The first time I washed it the comforter ripped at the top. The silky like material is very delicate. The other materials are of normal quality. The same material on the pillow covering feels sturdier and holds up great. I am a little disappointed since I wanted a comforter that was machine washable.
