6 Gauge Vinyl Zippered Mattress Cover, 9-Inch Deep

Just like most parents with kids going to college, I needed to find a vinyl mattress cover to protect my daughter. Having had experience buying one (locally) for my son before, I knew what I was getting.

But when my daughter opened it, that's when we were surprised to find out this is not a typical mattress cover. It's actually a bag with zipper at the end that you put the entire mattress inside! After a little "struggle", we put the XL dorm mattress inside and there's still room to spare.

This turns out to be actually better than just a mattress cover over the top and sides of the mattress. I know for sure that my daughter's sheets, blankets and comforter will not be touching the dorm mattress at all.

The vinyl is heavy duty, soft and smooth to the touch. Delivery is as expected.

I purchased this mattress cover for my twin XL mattress. The first one I received had its zipper ripped off and one side completely torn. Amazon replaced it the next day with a newer one without any obvious defects.

Less than a week later, it is already ripping at the seams. In general, this is a poorly made product. I strongly recommend you look elsewhere for better versions of this cover.

The mattress cover arrived defective. One entire side was not sewn together. I needed to use it anyway as I was moving on a rainy day, so I sealed it with duct tape. It's too much bother to try to get a refund.

I purchased the twin XL mattress protector a year ago for my daughter who was going off to college. The vinyl is very sturdy and it fit on the dorm mattress well. It has survived the first year at college and is ready for another year.
