The cover is very thin. But that is kinda what helps it make it super soft. You have to have a white duvet, can't have any designs or other colors, because it is very thin and will be seen through. What I also like is that it has the ties on the inside to keep the cover in place.

I love it so much I got 3 more. One for my mom, dad and another for when this is in the laundry.
