Chezmoi Collection White Goose Down Alternative Comforter

For the price I was expecting much less quality for this comforter, but it is so soft, fluffy and comfortable! I am totally impressed with the quality and the manufacture of it. An excellent purchase for those in the market for a lightweight, down-alternative comforter, and you can't beat this price!

Based on the review by Lisa, I purchased this comforter to replace the down comforter I ruined in the washing machine. :(

After only minutes under this blanket I could not believe how wonderfully warm it was! It wasn't too heavy but seemed to keep me warm much better than the actual down comforter had.

My husband has to sleep with a fan on no matter the weather and I am not always a 'fan', pun intended. Plus we usually used two additional quilts on top of the down comforter. Not so with this one. This blanket allows for me to stay warm while he enjoys his fan. No more trying to compromise "who gets to be comfortable tonight" :D And no more needing additional blankets to get comfortable at night.

Plus, this item can be washed in the washing machine rather than being dry-cleaned ((oops, I suppose I should have checked my down comforter before I tossed it in the wash)) but isn't as bulky as a down one so it doesn't fill the washing machine so awkwardly, like the fuller one, often throwing it off balance.

I have yet to see any negative about this item. I would highly recommend it!

This is a fine comforter, super soft and fluffy but not too hot at night.

I especially like the price was not high but don't let that low price fool you, this is very nicely made, and high quality. I am comparing it to both a 'down' and another 'down alternative' comforter which I also own. "Down" is difficult to clean and expensive as it has to be dry-cleaned, this one is warm and cozy and light. We'll see how it holds up in the wash and dry. It also arrived quickly.

This is my first duvet insert. I was skeptical given the other reviews, but this thing is pretty good. Did it look a little thin to me when it arrived in the mail? Yes. However, i gave it a shot anyway; it's super-warm and after about 5 mins after I climbed into bed, I thought to myself, "I really like this...why did it take so long for me to switch to a duvet/insert?" My only complaint is regarding the size. The queen size insert is 88"x88", and my duvet cover is 92"x96". This complaint has nothing to do with the quality of the Chezmoi insert, but now I know to pay closer attention to the dimensions next time I make a purchase (Duveting 101, huh?). All in all, I'm pleased with this product. Only had it one night, but it's not shedding or pilling. I admit i havent washed it yet, so not sure how it holds up but the sewn-through squares gives me hope that it'll hold up pretty well. I'm sure this isn't the nicest comforter/insert out there, but I think it's a darn good buy for $40. Where I live in the US, it's 55-75 degrees during the day and 40-60 degrees at night year-round, so I think this is a good product to keep us toasty and not needing to use quite so much heat while we're sleeping.

I purchase this insert to give a better fit to my new bedspread, as everything I buy I immediately washed it.

It washes well, (dry on low setting) so that's a 10 star for me. It is very well made and comfortable.
