We initially removed 15 ounces of twice-shredded latex from the pillow. The remaining queen-sized pillow, including both the liner and outer covers, weighs approximately 6 pounds. Had I been aware of how much filling made up the pillow, I might have purchased a king-sized one and divided it into two standard pillows. While they would not have been firm, overstuffed pillows, I believe they would have been the firmness we like.
