Pinzon 160-Gram Yarn-Dye Flannel Sham

I bought a pair of these shams along with the duvet cover. I am very happy with my purchase. The colors are very true to what is published here on Amazon. The flannel is soft and brushed and is not overly thick like pajamas. I did not want the P.J. look on my bed :) As usual, Amazon came through with on time delivery!

I own some other duvet covers from large mail order merchants known for their flannel sheets. These compare very well to ones from from them at a lower cost. A set of flannel pillowcases from these merchants will run you more than this costs.

Now, I also wear the kilt and have tartans in my kilt wardrobe, which makes me a tartanphile. I prefer my duvet covers to be tartan than just plain, or any other pattern than tartan. So, you can disregard the rest of this review if you are not too picky about what tartan graces your bed.

On the other hand, this isn't a proper Black watch. I did have to admit that I was chuffed to see the white stripe, hoping this would be Forbes (my tartan). On the other hand, this looks more like some sort of Lamont: kind of a dark ancient version of the tartan. That means the picture is sort of correct, but the blue is a hair darker than it looks.

I would have loved it if these were Forbes Tartan since a Kinloch-Anderson Forbes Duvet cover runs around US$500.

Nevermind, these are a great deal at this price and I am glad I bought 4 of the Duvet covers! I have put these in my basket for after Christmas.

I bought this sham and duvet cover for my son's bed. The duvet is way bigger than the standard down comforter and I had to cut it down and re-sew it. Both also shed badly. When they were washed the washer and dryer were full of bits of fabric. My son is constantly complaining that his sheets are covered with bits of flannel from his cover. Good colors that have stayed bright for three washings now, but I still wouldn't recommend this product.

Bought two of these shams and the matching duvet cover. Didn't even realize that this was an Amazon label. Excellent quality, feel, materials. The weight is heavy, the construction is very nice, the flaps to cover the back have a generous overlap. The colors are right on to the images. I would certainly buy another set if needed. I finally figured out that a sham that uses standard sizes is just that, use a standard pillow; strange but no one will say that. I bought therma pillows that we really too tall to sleep on comfortably but they make perfect sham fillers, nice, fat and resilient. They've gone through 5 washes in an front-loading HE washer and the colors are as good as ever.
