My only thought is that maybe the seller should come up with a firmness scale [from 1 to 10] to give you a good idea of what to expect, without actually feeling it in person. Mine was a little firmer than I had expected, but after sleeping on it for a week, my body seems to becoming more used to it.Bed is on the firm side but though I am not fond of firm I sleep soundly on it. I got it for my husband who is 6'2" and husky. High quality, he loves it and is sleeping soundly on it with much less snoring. No evidence of sag. Be careful to put it soft side up as the more dense foam is at the bottom. It had no odor at all although I was prepared to air it out for a couple of days. This odor issue probably varies. I bought it after carefully reading all the reviews here so was totally reliant on my fellow shoppers. Thanks. Very satisfied. Husband loves it. I did get a killer price on it on Black Friday.
Buy 10 Inch Thick, 4 Pound Density Visco Elastic Memory Foam Mattress Bed Made in the USA Now
To start off, this is a decent mattress for the money you pay ($200-300 however much it is this week). So here is a list of answered questions you may have about this bed while thinking of whether to buy it or not:The smell does go away within a couple days, but you need to keep the room you have the mattress in aired out...must keep the flow of air moving. If you close the doors of the room, that smell gets trapped. And no, I didn't get a headache from the fumes/smell of the mattress.
Like any other mattress, it's best to buy one of those vinyl zippered mattress covers to keep the mattress from getting damaged by what you might accidentally spill on it...or anything else for that matter. It's like a mattress condom, and protects it just the same...I highly recommend getting one for this or any other mattress. Plus it covers up most of the "new foam mattress" smell pretty well.
The bed is a little stiff, but not too stiff. It would be nice if it was 5 or 6 inches of memory foam, but that will send you into the much more expensive realm of foam mattresses. If you are looking for something that is inexpensive and comfortable, this seems to be a good choice.
There was something a bit humorous that came with the mattress, a 8.5x11 sheet of paper with the instructions, and a small note at the bottom saying, "We appreciate it if you give us a 5 star rating." So you know already it's not going to be a 5-star product. But I do believe that 3 inches of memory foam is better than 2 inches...and a total of 10 inches in height gives it a good solid base.
All in all, this mattress is a heck of a lot better than an air mattress...and will probably last a lot longer, too.
Please keep in mind, I have only been using this for a month now, so things may change with the mattress...or they may not. If something is amiss or problems arise, I will definitely note them on this review. But for now, 4 stars.I purchased a Bragada Avalon model about 6 years ago. Most of the time that I owned it, laying in bed was an amazing option for something to do, just wonderful. The last year it's been a pain, specifically, in the back. I didn't replace it right away because I felt it was too soon to be replacing a lifetime warranty product. To be blunt, I was dead wrong. After reading several reviews on several memory foam products, I have come to find, that these products should be replaced at least every 5-7 years, no matter the cost or manufacturer, no matter the warranty. People who spend $3k on their Tempurpedic was replacing it after 5 years, I should have after 5 years on my $1.2k Bragada.
I was a little nervous about going with a product over Amazon, which seemed priced too good to be true, they usually are, but the reviews were good, and if I bought another Bragada, at this time, I was only going to be able to afford a lesser model, and didn't think I would be supported as well as I was used to, or as happy with the product itself. Reading reviews on this model gave me just enough reason to try it. Best review was from a customer who previously owned a Tempurpedic model, and replaced it with this after 5 years, and were thrilled with the result. These folks owned the king, and replaced it with a squire, and were still pleased. That is good enough for me.
Received the product WELL in advance of projected, about a week early I believe, and what a welcome sight that was, both my wife's and my back hurt every morning, and it was getting bad for her. Product had no discernible smell, as others have had issues with. The cover which many found to be super cheap, was actually a cover just for shipping purposes, not meant as a permanent cover. Underneath you had a basic covering for the foam, unlike the extremely high quality, "just what you would expect a quality mattress cover of any type" to look like, that my Bragada came with. It was then that it dawned on me what the differences between these products are. Tempurpedic charges $3k for a great cover and a lot of TV advertisements. Bragada charges $1.2k for a great cover, and a dedicated website. This mattress charged you $480 for a king size mattress, no frills.
Within one day, my back pain was gone, within the week, my wife's was as well. We've owned it for a month now, not long, but no complaints so far. In my mind, even if this lasts only three years, it was worth it. If there are any changes in my opinion, I will try and keep this updated, so that you can learn more about it's durability.

This mattress does not have the strong smell that many other memory foam mattresses do. It is firm, but very comfortable. I highly recommend this mattress. I intend to purchase another one for our guest room whenever it goes on sale again.
