After a single wash (they smelled awful fresh out of the package probably the blue dye), they were absolutely soft and comfortable and are getting softer with every wash. These are thick and fairly heavy sheets, tightly woven, but not what I'd describe as "crisp" as percale is often advertised to be. These are well made, beautiful, show absolutely no signs of pilling after every day use and multiple washings, and I'd guess they'll last for many years. I've just ordered two more sets in different colors. Hopefully the other colors will be of the same quality. I know the dye can change the way cotton feels but fingers crossed...
Update: The beige and navy sheets, both 600 TC I received are neither as thick, nor as soft as the original blue sheets, though they're probably still a good value. I'll keep them in hopes of them getting softer in the wash. Now I'm curious which blue sheets I received on the first order in the unlabeled zippered pouch.... Sure would love to know.
