I like to have out of town guests, and my roommate and I travel internationally all the time. I decided this would be a good way to protect the apartment. I bought one of these for all the mattresses in the house.They're easy to put on, just zipper and voila! I did find the plastic a bit thin, and was afraid they would rip easily, but its been several months now and they're fine. There's no weird feeling of sleeping on plastic. The top cover is a terry cloth like material, so the sheets fit nicely over it.
Keep in mind, its just a mattress cover, and not a mattress pad. It doesn't provide any cushioning, so you still have to have a mattress pad over it.
So far so good....no bedbugs!
