I ordered this for a chair whose back was not comfortable. I was disappointed when it wouldn't stay up. It kept squishing down and I was alway having to readjust it. I have kept it and it has become very useful since my cat claimed it for his cat bed. It is durable and washable.

This is a nice pillow, but if you are looking for something with actual support, especially in the lumbar region, this is not the pillow for you. It is not quite thick enough through the lumbar area. It has a tendency to slide down in the chair -more than once, when I reached behind me to pull the pillow back up, my fingers went THROUGH the material. The pillow does not hold its shape; it falls over itself, and I find myself having to constantly readjust it (carefully, so as to not poke any more holes in it!) I would never suggest laundering it, as it would not stand up to even hand washing.
