26 x 26 - Down Alternative - Euro Pillow 400TC

The phrase "down alternative" brings to mind "feather-like" or maybe "feels like feathers, but not actually MADE of feathers"... That is what I was thinking when I bought these pillows for my new bedding.I checked the sham dimensions with the listed pillow dimensions, and I ordered the pillows. I am SORELY DISAPPOINTED.

The down-alternative description should have said "cheap fiber fill," and that's being kind. The pillows do not hold their shape, and this is without using them to sleep on just for decoration. I'm constantly fluffing and pulling and tugging on these pillows, and they never fill out the shams right. My corners are always smooshed and drooping.

The first three days, the pillows looked okay. Not great, not really full or puffy just okay. Then they flattened and lost their shape. I opened a small corner to look at the fill because it felt like fiber,and I thought, "I must be wrong. It's supposed to be a down alternative fill. There must be something feather-like in there somewhere."

Yeah, right.

I could have made these pillows myself with generic Walmart pillow fill for 1/4 of the cost and gotten the same crappy results. Anyone sleeping on these or just looking at them would think I got them at a swap meet or a yard sale.

DO NOT BUY THESE PILLOWS. THEY ARE POOR QUALITY. The fill is not a down-alternative IT IS GENERIC FIBER FILL SOLD UNDER THE GUISE OF "DOWN ALTERNATIVE" WHEN THEY ACTUALLY ARE JUST CIRCUMVENTING CALLING IT "FIBER FILLED."

For $11 bucks nice and you can lean up against the pillow for support. Doesn't smell, nicely packaged, right size outside fabric is nice.
