It's exactly as vivid as the photo, the little pillow that came with the set even has stone beads on it .I was going to buy a 250 dollar duvet set from Macy's but I'm glad I didn't. This one could very well do the job of modernizing my bed,highly recommend! Would buy it again if they made it in another color scheme

UPDATE: Jan 25 2013: I just washed this and was surprised how quickly it dried.NO WONDER,it's Polyester on the backside!Arrggh!No wonder it's so lightweight. I washed this inside out coz I was afraid the black would bleed but it didn't (thankfully).20 minutes under the sun and wind in my apartment balcony and it's already dry.Good but not for long.I noticed that some stitches have already unravelled in the wash (and always wash in cold water,gentle cycle WITH A garment bag -the kind you use on delicates, for new and untested beddings) It's cute, modern,trendy but this won't last for long due to the nature of the material used.I'm keeping it as sending it back would probably cost me more.

I thought it was going to be more like a thin comforter but its like a heavy sheet, will be great for the spring and summer, its really soft and looks great, so I am more than happy with this product!!
