I'm severely allergic to dust mites (dermatologist tested, not self diagnosed)...when we bought a new bed, I wanted to have a dust mite cover from the start. I will say this product seems pricey for a dust mite cover, but is way cheaper than several other branded competitors. Thanks to Amazon prime, I received it next day for $4.

After installing it on the bed, I noticed it puffs a little bit when you lie on it. That's probably because this is a 12" deep and my mattress is only 11'ish". Long story short, I don't itch while lying in bed and my skin doesn't appear to be broken out as it did in the past before using the cover. Granted, as my title indicates, this may or may not be attributed to this cover. Part of buying this cover for a new bed went hand in hand with moving into an addon bedroom at my home. This was new construction, so it was cleaned thoroughly with brand new carpet/paint/HVAC, etc etc. I'll post back again if I find myself scratching relentlessly....

Due to respiratory issues in our family, we have this mattress cover in many sizes. It is a great allergen proof cover, it fits well, it is durable, and I like the fact that it is not so impermeable that my children are hot at night. At the same time, that permeability means that the cover is not truly waterproof. One child had an "accident" one night and some liquid got through to the mattress.

If allergy reduction is the main motivation for buying this cover, it would be perfect for you. If you are more interested in its waterproof properties, it may be better to search for alternative options.

We have a temperpedic-esque mattress. The cover that came with it had a nap, so every night our sheet would march on off one side of the mattress and snap up to get us. Surprise! You've been sheeted!

So we got this mattress cover and ripped off the old one. The new cover is supposedly waterproof, though we haven't tried that out, thankfully. The cover is not hot or sweaty. It doesn't crinkle or make any noises. It does puff up when you pop into bed sometimes. But other than that, I never even know it's there.

Except our sheet stays were we put it.

5 stars, cause its hard to know if it truly is effective. From a personal point of view, it does seem effective.

Also it's cool, and eventhough you will know it's there the first few nights afterwards you don't feel it at all.
