My son still has the occasional overnight accident and I needed a waterproof pillow protector and I bought this pillow protector as it was supposed to be waterproof. It is nothing of the sort. It soaked through to the foam pillow the first time there was a problem.

If you really need a waterproof cover, this is not it.

My husband and I purchased SafeRest mattress protectors for all the mattresses in our home to protect our mattresses from stains and allergens. Our two daughter have asthma and had been told that these may help. The mattress store we purchased our beds from had these, but they were over $80 a piece, which seemed a bit much given we were buying 3 protectors. The material is nice and thin so you can't notice it's there and it doesn't make any noise. The terry is also nice. My daughters appear to have benefited from the protectors so far. We wash them about every two weeks to kill the dust mites and they fit the mattresses very well. We are very pleased with this purchase and wanted to share a review.

I bought the SafeRest box spring and mattress encasements and pillow covers for every pillow we own as a preventive measure, as my husband travels for work to multiple cities and states every single week. He stays at numerous different hotels and recently got bitten by bedbugs at one. We made sure he didn't bring any back, but I got the encasements just in case in the future.

These protectors fit my queen size pillows very tight and perfectly, so I can imagine that they would be slightly loose on a standard size. It's made of a terry-like material that's soft and silent when you roll over on it. The zipper is tiny and invisible. I put pillow cases that came with my sheet set over these, and you can't even tell that I have these on when I sleep on the pillows. If anything, the terry adds friction so that the pillow doesn't bunch up and roll around in the regular pillow case.

I have not tested the waterproof-ness of these cases, as we don't eat or drink on the bed, but because the materials are like towels and they're also lined inside in a smoother, tightly-knit material, they look like they can at least absorb small amounts of liquids before it even reaches your pillow.

I have noticed that my sinuses feel better when I wake up in the morning too, which is definitely a plus.

Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase, and would recommend these to anyone.

The item arrived in good time. I put it on immediately and it seems of good quality and was easy to use. At present I'm free of bedbug bites so using the covers and other things I've done seem to be working.
