Royal Heritage Home Ardsley 8-Piece Size Comforter Set

My new comforter set just arrived and it is nicer than expected! The comforter feel and looks like a satin/silk material and stitched very nicely together. It came with the comforter, 2 small decorative pillows, the skirt, two pillow shams to cover your regular sized pillow and two extra large pillow shams in dark purple that fit large square pillows. The bed looks great and of high quality.

I ordered this Ardsley 8-Piece Queen-Size Comforter set in purple on o********.com because of all the great reviews on that site and the price is the best there. I was super excited about it. However, I was very disappointed upon opening the package. The color is not as pretty as the picture. The actual color is less purple(not blueish like amazon pic) than the picture. It's DULL. The whole set looks neutral, not girly or pretty or cute. somebody said it's "masculine" in their review. Now I know why. There is no "dimples" in the actual product whereas the "dimples" in the picture make the comforter set look a lot richer than it actually is. The bed skirt is thin and made differently than what the pic suggests. It's not nearly as nice looking as the pic. The bed skirt does not hang down and wrap around so snugly as in the picture either. Besides the looks, another big reason I sent this back is that this 100% polyester set is very UNCOMFORTABLE. You can't possibly sleep in this unless you get some cotton sheets to use under them. Sandwich yourself between the cotton sheets you are gonna have to buy somewhere else and never let your skin be touched by the comforter, then you can live with it. Otherwise I don't know how. I decided to get something more skin friendly instead. I knew it's polyester before purchasing, but I also knew polyester didn't necessarily have to feel so sadpaper-like!! This one proved me wrong. Overall this set is OK for a guest bedroom, which is rarely used. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who wants to use it daily.

In the end, I purchased Chezmoi Collection 7 Pieces White, Grey, and Black Lily with Leaf Applique Comforter (90"x92" in Inch) Set from amazon and I was very pleased with how comfortable it is (also 100% polyester, but what a difference in softness!!), not to mention it also looks much prettier. (No i am not in any way affiliated with Chezmoi's seller. I just want to recommend it because it's a much better value/product all around.)

I got my comforter set today! I love the set, it's beautiful.

I found this set on Kohls.com and fell in love with it but it was well over $200 on sale. So away to Google I went. Hurray for Amazon!

As others have said, this is not true purple but rather plum, which is exactly what I wanted. In the photos its hard to tell exactly what color the pale embroidery work is. It is off-white. I bought plum Cathay Home Fashions Luxury Silky Soft Leaf Design Embroidered Microfiber Sheet Sets to finish off my bed and they coordinate nicely.

This set, or anything that wasn't made of a sturdy cotten/poly blend, wouldn't be my choice for a bedroom frequented by pets and kids, but since only adults will use it and the kitty isn't allowed on the beds it fits our home nicely. I'd definitely recommend it.

I was very impressed when I received this set. It was more beautiful than I imagined. Pictures look purple. They are a beautiful Lavender and plum. Great combination. I ordered it through Amazon market and I got it in 3 days. Service and Quality was great. I would order through amazon market again. I washed it and colors are great and comfy.

I wold suggest checking the color on other sites. I bought this from amazon because it was the best deal, although I was nervous about the color. The pictures I saw with a more lavender/purple where more true to the set. This picture looks like a blue/purple. I haven't washed any of the pieces yet, and hope they come out okay. I really love the colors and the fabric. There are some strings hanging from the embroidery but they just need to be snipped, none of them have actually been a snag. So far so good!!
