Serta 3-Pound Memory Foam 1 1/2-Inch Mattress Topper

I sleep with a Nova memory foam mattress topper (bought from Costco in Canada) and found it very good. This summer I sublet an apartment for a couple of months and ordered a Serta 3-pound memory foam (supposedly a memory form) mattress topper. It was already on the bed when I arrived at the apartment. I immediately felt that it was not actually memory foam. Then I looked at the actual topper and found that it was just foam, which is quite different from memory foam. I definitely would not recommend this particular brand. In my opinion, the label "memory foam" was a false label.

I'd like to preface this review by saying that I had back surgery 6 months ago and have been waking up with severe back pain every morning ever since. The doctor told me this is normal because I had a 2-level fusion and my back gets stiff during the night.

I actually purchased this mattress topper for the very uncomfortable futon that's in our guest bedroom, to make it more comfortable for guests. But first I tried it out on my own bed for a night and was AMAZED at how comfy it was, and guess what else? I did NOT wake up with any back pain! None! So now I have to get one for my own bed :-)

Now I will say this: my partner does not like it. But as far as I'm concerned, it's the best thing I could have ever bought for forty bucks!

This is well worth the $40. It makes a Military bed here in Afghanistan almost feel as good as my $1200 pillow top at home. It took less than 2 weeks to arrive. I plan on getting one for my travel trailer when I get home. You can't beat it for the money!

This is a great mattress, with some 'memory' to it. After reading other reviews, I considered getting a larger mattress for my full size bed. I decided to stick with the correct size (full mattress for my full bed) and am happy I did. It fits perfectly with maybe an inch of space on the edge.

I had a great night of sleep and am thrilled that I'm probably going to elongate the life of my actual mattress. This topper comes with a great price for great value. I definitely recommend it!

I've only had this a week, so maybe the smell will eventually go away, but in a well-ventilated room, this pad still smells like super-elastic bubble plastic a week after I set it up.

It is comfortable and true to size on a full-sized klik-klak sofa bed. And it makes the difference between a truly comfortable guest bed and one that I am sure left my guests wondering whether I secretly wanted them to leave. Seriously. It's one of those sofas where the back folds down, and it was like a torture device. I thought I was going to have to replace it, but the topper is thick and supportive enough to make the bed comfortable, without being so thick that the couch won't fold up. I made a cover for it out of a duvet cover, and it sits right on top.
