This pillow top mattress pad is fluffy enough to cushion you without feeling like you are encased in rubber, like the memory foam pads. I have arthritis and hip pain and it really made my new firm, super plush 9" Marriott mattress an absolute dream to sleep on (no pun intended). It isn't hot air circulates around you. Very well made and will accommodate extra thick mattresses with its woven elastic skirt. It's machine washable and dryable and is also made in the USA.
