Mabis/DMI healthcare Rest Mate Bed Wedge, White

I had purchased a wedge earlier that was ok, but when I slept on my side, it threw all of my weight onto my hip and I'd wake up with an aching hip. This longer wedge was a huge improvement. The flat top holds the pillow nicely and keeps the pillow in place.

I do feel that it is too expensive for a piece of shaped foam with batting glued on it (which does make it comfy.) My biggest complaint is the pillowcase. It is made of a material that is quite slick and frays easily. I wash my bedding each week & was afraid that I would soon have a pillow case that was falling apart. I put FrayCheck on it and that solved the problem, but I spent quite a lot of time applying the FrayCheck to both sides of the seams. I like the wedge a lot, but think they need a better pillowcase and a lower price.

I purchased this because it has a nice size, which it does. Also, it does NOT have bad chemical smell. I used a sheet to cover it, since it is too large for a pillowcase. I did not find myself slipping down it, as other wedges seem to do. On the flip side, due to the large size, it does take up alot of square footage in your bed. If you have any mobility issues, it makes it difficult to get in and out of bed, so be aware of that. It is comfortable to sleep on, either on your head, or to elevate your feet. It was not comfortable enough that I kept using it, which is why I gave it 4 stars. UPDATE: Am using it again several months later!

I found the wedge to be very hard and uncomfortable to lay on. I have had bed wedges before that weren't hard. It also ends where your hips line up and caused me hip pain. I would like to return it since I can't use it.
