This is the classic featherbed, and these folk seem to make a good one we have bought several, for various beds.

Having grown up with featherbeds I must say you have to know how to use them. They are filled with...feathers...and these feathers will work themselves out, quill end out. This means they will stick you. The solution is to put a mattress cover (we use Mexican blankets) between the featherbed and the sheet.

Also, every time you change your sheets flip the thing over.

People who don't know this trick will be sorely disappointed, but this actually is a good product and the real thing. Sweet dreams.

This was a gift for my boyfriend. I sleep on it every night and it is very comfortable. I would suggest looking up the definition of feather bed and mattress pad before purchasing it. If you're looking for a pad it might not be what you're expecting. I use two fitted sheets over it to protect it so I don't have to wash it every time I wash my bedding. It's very big -which makes it so comfortablebut you'll probable have to take it to a commercial sized washer and dryer I wash and dry it with new tennis balls to keep it from possibly lumping up.

I've had this featherbed for 2 years now. I am very much pleased with it. It has made the stiff, uncomfortable mattress that I have much more tolerable in fact it is quite comfortable now. The feathers do escape every now and then (there is one area where the feather made a small hole in the fabric, which I just taped up so feathers wouldn't leak everywhere).

Overall, for the price I'd say this is a great buy. I see this featherbed in my life for a number of years to come.
