European Comfort 100% Cotton Pillow Protector (Set Of 2)

These were not quite what I had expected, but they are okay for the price! I wanted something that was a smoother finish than these are. They are sort of rough to the touch, but since they are going under my pillow cases, I don't mind so much. I would also suggest that anyone purchasing these wash them before you use them as they have a sort of odd smell to them. I'm not sure what it is, but I didn't wash them right away and noticed the smell when I was on my side on the pillow! Otherwise, they seem okay.

These pillow protectors are made of very very thin cotton. I use primarily down and feather pillows which naturally "shed" some feathers every so often and these pillow protectors will probably not help contain them sufficiently well in the long term. Even with non feather pillows, I still prefer pillow covers with more substantial fabric and construction. I have only had them a short time and they are used primarily on guest pillows, so they will probably not be subjected to heavy use. Nonetheless, I do not anticipate that they will hold up as well or as long as other pillow protectors I have.

The product was really thin, with a loose weave. I needed something to cover a feather pillow, and protect it. The idea was to put this over the pillow, so the feather pillow did not have to be washed as often. But this did nothing. The picture looks like a thick cotton cover.
