My 18 month old will be getting this for Christmas. We plan on switching his crib into the toddler bed after Christmas so we wanted to get his a something thats is not so cutesy and baby looking. He loves Diego so this seemed to be the perfect choice! We received this earlier than was expected so that was great. I did read some reviews saying that the material was stiff and rough feeling. I do agree but hopefully after a good wash it will soften up. If not it won't be a huge deal since my son always sleeps with his "special" blanket so this would cover him up over his blanket. We also purchased the fleece blanket that matches. I would get that if the comforter doesn't meet your standards!

I read the reviews for the bedding before purchase and so I was prepared for a very light comforter, just so I wasn't disappointed. I was very surprised that the package it comes in, is soooo small. I didn't know what it was from the outside of the box because I was expecting something bigger. The packaging is small, like laughably small. Aside from that surprise, the bedding was cute and washed up well. The comforter was light, but I was prepared and really, it has the back of like, a sleeping bag material, so it slides easy. My child gets very warm at night, so it isn't a big deal because it has a sheet. The pattern of "Diego" is so cute, and my 3-year old wanted "Diego bedding" for his birthday, so that is what he got. It actually helped him transition into his "big boy bed" a toddler bed. He loves it, and so do I. But be prepared for small packaging and a light blanket.
