The material kinda reminds me of fake suede. I was initially afraid it would feel weird to the touch, but it's actually pretty comfortable. The material around the seams is cut long enough that it doesn't irritate the skin by poking out. It takes up about as much space as a deck of cards when deflated and folded up, so it's more convenient than the stuffed pillows if you're tight on space. However, I can't say it's more or less comfortable than other types of pillows. It's probably a personal preference. Lastly, the color is not all black. On the one I received, the upper half is red, the lower half is black.

This item is perfect. Because of the more square shape instead of the U shape it doesn't roll when you move. And because of the extra chamber you don't have to lean your head at an awkward angle. Just lean back for maximum comfort while sitting.
