Sleep Innovations Remedy Study Bundle

I bought this mattress pad after finding that my husband had booked us into a hotel with hard mattresses mentioned in every yelp review. I am pleased to report that I slept every bit as well as I do at home on my pillow top mattress with 4" memory foam topper (dear husband was on his own, since he picked the hotel).

Rolled up in the carry bag, the REMedy mattress pad is much to big to think about taking on a plane trip (approx. 1.5' high, and 1' in diameter), but I can't imagine risking a hotel bed without it on road trips, now that I know how well it works. The included cover is basically a fitted sheet. A zip-up cover that encased the whole thing would have been nice, but it does the job. The included memory foam pillow is nothing special. It isn't a molded pillow, but a sack filled with pieces of foam (I suspect they just cut up the imperfect mattress pads and use the pieces to fill a pillow casing). The pillow does come with a nice washable zip-up cover.

I would definitely recommend this mattress pad to anyone looking for a portable memory foam mattress pad, whether they were heading to college or on a road trip like me.

Sealy Posturepedic Optimum Destiny Gel Memory Foam Mattress

We purchased the Sealy Optimum Destiny after much research. Our mattress was almost 20 years old and both my husband and I suffered from terrible lower back pain. First we had to determine whether or not we wanted a innerspring or memory foam. We had decided that a memory foam was out of our price range and I was a little worried about some of the things I had read about the heat and smell of memory foam mattress. When we went Mattress shopping, we had fully intended to buy a Sealy Perfect Sleeper. However, we were suprised to learn that we could get the new Sealy Optimum for just a hundred more than the Perfect Sleeper model we had picked out. I was still a little hesitant about the memory foam, but Sealy had a 90 day return policy so I thought if we hated it we could take it back and get an innerspring. We have had the mattress for little over a month now and here are my pros and cons about it.

The Pros:

*Very good looking mattress quilted top and nice design

*In the month we've had it, neither my husband nor I have woken up to back pain

*Great motion isolation I didn't believe the claims about not feeling the other person move, but it's true with this mattress

*No noise at all from this mattress

*Height on the mattress is normal so all the sheets I've purchased fit great

*No heat issues thus far

*No grooves or "valleys" left after sleeping in one area for prolonged time like other reviews I've read about other memory foam mattresses

The Cons:

*The Destiny is a firm mattress very firm I have never had a firm mattress before so it took some getting used to because in the past I have always liked what I considered a "cushy" mattress (however, I believe this is also what helped with my back pain, so this one is really a pro/con)

*There is a smell to this mattress and yes, every new mattress has a smell, but this is a little different. I have a very sensitive nose, so I was a little worried about it. We took the plastic cover it came in off the mattress and let it sit out for 3 days, which helped tremendously. There was still a pretty strong smell to it the first week, however, it has disipated alot. You can still smell it when you first get in the bed and whenever you take your sheets off to wash them. It helped us to wash our sheets and mattress cover every couple of days for the first week. Now, I can barely smell it and only when I take the sheets off.

I would say that the pros to this mattress outweigh the cons, especially once the initial smell or "off gassing" goes away. It took me a couple of weeks to get used to the memory foam in general, but now I am loving my firm mattress. I am a hot sleeper and again, no issues with heat. If you are thinking about a memory foam but don't want to shell out over $2,000 for it, I would suggest trying the Sealy Optimum. Just make sure you try out the different models for a firmness level you can live with and check the return policy when you purchase.

Lush Decor Prima Shower Curtain

I ordered this curtain took it out of the package and put it up immediately. There were some definite wrinkles, most of which have come out with a bit of time, but you might want to explore using a cool iron.

The colors in the photo run very true. This is a very attractive looking curtain. However, I found it to be more shear than expected. This is not a big deal for me, personally, but some people might find that info useful.

I like this curtain very much and feel that it looks very nice in the bathroom.

What can I say? It's a shower curtain. The colors are exactly what you see in the description. It's well made, looks great and was easy to hang.

If you need a leg wedge to keep your back flat on your mattress, the Jobri Spine Reliever is a very good choice, especially post-surgery of your lower back. The construction of the pillow is top quality the foam is firm but not hard, covered with a soft microfiber fabric that can be removed for washing (wash in cold water and do not dry in the dryer to avoid shrinking at the corners). Make sure you know what size wedge you want before purchasing; the large size is 10" high and does strain the use of sheets and blankets unless you leave them untucked; not a problem in our household but could bother others. I sleep on my back and have used the medium size (8" tall) for seven years; the size is perfect for a woman 5'8" tall. I can highly recommend this product, and I am a very fussy buyer, always seeking good quality for a reasonable price.

One last note; I purchased this product through Amazon but the seller was FootSmart. FootSmart has the best customer service group ever I ordered the wrong size for my husband the first time and Footsmart customer service was so helpful. They sent the replacement pillow out so fast it was at our door the next day. I would definitely buy from FootSmart again.

I have a lot of back problems and find myself having to prop my legs up when I sleep or I wake up nearly unable to walk. I picked this up since I'm tired of using tons of pillows. The cover is quite soft, and the foam is comfortable. Not too stiff, but supportive. I ordered this in a large and wish I'd gotten a medium. The large was on sale so I wanted it for the lower price. I'm around 5'6" and this peak of the pillow is more on my calves than under my knees. I need to shift around a little to keep my legs comfy, but that's my fault for getting one too big. This is a great product.

Some people complained it is bulky and doesn't fit well under covers, and they're right. This doesn't bother me at all though, as I'd rather have a good night's sleep than a flat, well made bed.

I am 6'1" with a pant leg length of 34". The LARGE leg rest is perfect for a man my size.

I am a back sleeper, but I usually fall asleep on my side. The leg rest does not interfere with my ability to fall asleep.

I have been using a 45-degree wedge pillow to raise my head to prevent acid reflux. But every morning, I would find myself at the foot of my bed, having slid down the wedge pillow while I slept.

This thing is awesome for my lower back pain as long as I sleep on my back all night (which can be difficult for me). Be aware though that even though I am 6' (and they claim get the large if you are 6' or taller), the large is too large for me. I only wear a 32-33" pant leg though, but I believe you'd need 36"+ legs for the large to fit. I need to contact them to see if I can exchange it for a medium. My legs below the knee hang in the air on the other side of this and the wedge pushes up against the back of my upper leg, causing my legs to fall asleep.

I bought the queen size Allerzip mattress protector in February of '09 for $69.99, and it has been great. After putting this on my mattress, and of course having an exterminator come in to do his thing, I started to notice immediately that I wasn't getting bitten anymore. I ordered two of these for beds in our home. The mattress encasement is well made and overlaps to provide good protection. The zipper is well sealed and they provide a tie wrap to secure it.

It has a terry cloth like top and a satin type stretchy material for around the sides. It is comfortable to sleep on. I had no trouble getting it on my deep mattress at all.

We had bed bugs, and bad! We bought cheaper encasement covers and the bugs just nested on the outside of the cover. Don't buy anything other than the one that says "Allerzip" for both mattress and boxspring. It has a special zipper that locks in or out the bugs to protect your investment and keep your family safe. It's worth the money, don't settle for anything less.

The mattress fabric is good but the zipper is horrible. it got broken few times during first use event though it was not tightly fitted with mattress. There is fundamental structural problem with the zipper. Managed to fix somehow and put that.Otherwise need to put duct tape to cover the broken piece. I did not except this bad quality zipper for such a high priced item.

i didnt realize that the sheet set we ordered already had 2 pillowcases, but o well now we have 2 extra. like i said with the sheet set and comforter, not the softest in the world, but they hold up well and get a bit softer as u wash them. weve had them for a little over 6 months and have no complaints. fit the pillows perfectly, and my son loves them, spongebob on one side and patrick on the other.

I searched high and low for a mattress pad that did not contain any plastics or waterproof treatment. I do NOT want my babies to breathe chemicals all night while they sleep. And frankly, since every crib mattress is covered in plastic, what is the point of a waterproof pad anyway? We have gone to great lengths here to keep all of these chemicals away from our babies including a special cover for the mattress (to keep off-gasses away) and a wonderful, thick wool topper, which is what I wanted to cover. We just slip some wool puddle-pads in between the topper and the mattress pad to keep the topper from getting wet and everything is fine. I highly recommend this product over ANY waterproof pad out there.

I searched far and wide for a crib mattress pad that doesn't have a vinyl backing. I have a waterproof naturpedic mattress so i don't necesarily need a waterproof pad. This one is really soft and thick so I think it would do a good job of absorbing any spills anyways. Have not used this yet since the little one hasn't yet arrived but I did wash it, it held up but i do notice a small tear in one of the seams on the side. That's why i gave it 4 starts instead of 5. But it's still worth it to me to not have the vinyl and plastic backing even if I have to replace it eventually. It did not shrink in the dryer and fits the mattress pretty well..I will probably order another soon

Put 2 of these on our registry before our first child was born. I was thrilled to receive them, and washed them both as soon as I got them. They shrunk. Badly.

This particular pad was of very poor quality for the price. It was extremely hard to stretch over the mattress (harder than crib sheets), and once I did get it on, it started to fall apart at the corners from the stress.

We realized after his birth that babies don't actually need a mattress pad, and just a fitted sheet works perfectly. About half the stuff on our registry fell under the title of "things you don't really need for a baby", and this was one of them.

I also went hunting for a crib pad that wasn't backed by crinkly plastic or vinyl, etc., because as other people note, most mattresses are "waterproof" as is. Crib mattresses are also very firm and flat. This cotton pad adds a nice layer of softness without being too pillowy. It fit well. Ingeo, the fill (made from corn), is a bioplastic or biodegradable plastic, as Wikipedia states. If you are hell-bent there be no plastic or bioplastics in your pad, this may not be for you. But I will drive myself batty if I try to get rid of every plastic-related product in the house!

Shabby and Victorian Style White Lace/ruffle Matching Cotton Pillowcase

When I took this pillowcase out of the package, I was slightly disappointed on two counts. The first was that the product is hand wash and line dry. I like to wash items before I use them but I have no time to hand wash and line dry.

The second disappointment was the lace. It is not crisp and white like in the photograph but a dull gray color. It is also more of a cottony texture than lacy.

The main cotton material of the pillowcase is a lovely soft texture with a good thread count and it is bright white but the lace really is disappointing. It looks dirty and apparently it will never be cleaner as I have to hand wash!

I am going to hold on to this pillowcase as it shipped directly from China and took a couple of weeks to get here. Maybe the gray color of the lace can just be explained away as 'vintage' or 'shabby'.

SHEEX Performance Sheets Set

These sheets are extremely comfortable with one not-so-minor exception... they constantly latch onto my arm and leg hair, giving them a sharp, painful tug whenever I move around in bed. Not exactly a "performance-friendly" trait. As other reviews have stated, the Sheex sheets will also snag on any little callus or peeled skin you might have, particularly on your hands or feet.

It's a shame, too, because if it wasn't for these issues, Sheex would be fantastic. They're nicely comfortable and very good at staying on your mattress. If you are a hairless creature with impossibly smooth skin, these are the sheets for you!

I have been sleeping on a set of white sheex for about three weeks. They feel a little cooler than cotton when I get into bed, but they do not build up or retain heat even after a few hours of reading. The fitted sheet has elastic all the way around the edge and the fabric stretches easily to fit my thicker than normal pillow top mattress. I have washed them four times in hot water with a high heat dryer cycle and there has been no loss in elasticity. I live in a desert climate but they do not build up static electricity, even fresh out of the dryer or when I sleep in a shirt made out of the same type of fabric. I use dryer sheets out of habit, but sheex don't retain fragrance like cotton and since the sheets are so soft to begin with, there's not much point. These sheets don't wrinkle at all and stretch to fit the mattress very snugly, making the bed look the same on wash day as when it was first made up.

The pillow cases are roomy and will stretch to fit pretty much any size pillow this fabric is very, very elastic. If I were to spin the pillow over my head the pillow case would stretch to twice its length, but then snap back with no problems.

My only minor complaint is that, unlike cotton, the fabric sometimes snags on the sides of my feet where the skin is rough. Socks solved this.

Overall, this is a good product for those who value quality sleep.

I purchased these sheets after reading many, many reviews. Most of them were positive, although few mentioned issues such as being too warm and being scratchy on your feet. I decided to invest the money and purchase them anyway...and I wish I hadn't. They are beautiful sheets and they feel very luxurious in your hands, but the issues that the few negative reviews mentioned were exactly what my problems were. The first night I used them I woke up with a huge sweat. I've never experienced that before with any sheet or comforter I've ever had. I don't really sleep cold, but I definitely have never woken up sweating. Also, the sheets were TERRIBLY scratchy on my feet. I take very good care of my skin including exfoliating often and putting lotion on my feet every single night before bed and these sheets made me feel like the skin on my feet was made of sandpaper. It bothered me so bad that I purchased a grinding stone and scrubbed my feet for 30 minutes but it didn't help one single bit. I couldn't stand to move my feet at all with these sheets, and it drove me nuts.

On a more positive note, if you normally sleep very cold or are 100% positive that you have feet like a baby's bottom, you will probably really, really enjoy these sheets. I really wish I had liked them, and I really wish I could send them back after using them. (If anyone is interested, you'll probably see them on a famous auction website very, very soon for a reduced price.)

I've had these sheets for about two months now and I've finally gotten to the point where I just want to throw them away, I dislike them that much. I can't think of much positive to say about these sheets other than they're sturdy and easily fit your mattress without too much pulling and stretching. Like all the other reviewers said, the sheets snag on your feet and hands, causing much discomfort and the opposite of the "soft and luxurious" feeling the manufacturers claim. I expected the sheets to feel smooth and silky against my body, but I actually think it feels more like sleeping on rubber. The claim that the sheets "breathe better" is also the opposite of what I experienced as they make me very hot and uncomfortable at night time. All in all, I highly recommend you do not purchase these. If you are going to spend $200 on sheets, there are many better brands with high thread counts that will give you a more soft and luxurious feel.

My husband was excited to try these sheets as he usually gets very warm at night. I too can sometimes get too warm at night so was interested to see how these would work for both of us.

-They are like soccer shirt material (if you like that).

-They seem to be made well, won't fall apart easily

-Have lots of stretch (great for tempurpedic beds)

-They seem to wick away warmth, the first night I felt cold

-I did get warm (but I did not sweat like cotton) the second night using these sheets

-My husband didn't notice enough of a difference to justify the price.

Cons

-They are a strange heavy so they get caught up on you when moving

-Feel terrible on my feet, like I have sandpaper feet

-I think they smell terrible! I do have a sensitive nose so maybe not everyone will notice, but that polyester/spandex smell was gross to me.

Overall we returned them! We're going to stick with cotton.

The pattern is great, but it is not a true comforter. It is a duvet cover over a thinner comforter. The interior blanket separates from the cover and gets bunched up inside. Annoying. I will tack the blanket inside the duvet and keep it because the colors are lovely. But I would have never paid this much money had it been clear it was a duvet rather than a proper comforter.

My 4 year old granddaughter just lives this pillowcase! It was exactly what she and I wanted, a cute pillowcase without having to buy a whole set of Disney sheets which she did not need! Fabric is reasonably soft and once washed with liquid softener it really came out nice! Bottom line, my granddaughter thinks I gave her the coolest gift ever and I only spent a few dollars!

Great for a reward for kids without it being sugary junk food or breaking the bank & it's really useful as well!
