The NeckPillow by Tempur-Pedic Standard Medium Profile

I bought this pillow due to waking up with cricks in my neck. I saw an orthopedist and went to physical therapy for my neck but nothing helped like this pillow did. The pillow helps keep my neck straight. I used to toss and turn in the night now I sometimes adjust the pillow but go right back to bed. The "hump" is perfect for me, a petite woman, but it also works for my 6' husband.

It takes a few weeks to get it broken in and softer and the chemical smell went away. Another downside is orthopedist I went to did not suggest a contour pillow. My physical therapist said I may benefit from one and I chose this one on my own.

The pillow is very heavy, so if you move around at night the pillow will not move with you. I have neck and back problems and I think this pillow gave me headaches. I think you should talk to your doctor before spending this much money on a pillow in hopes it will work out for you. It may be the best thing for other people, I just know its NOT the right choice for me. :o(

I bought this pillow 6 months ago after trying one in the store. I just got back from my doctor's office concerning "inflamed cartilage" on my left ear. He asked me if I had bought a new pillow just before this developed and I told him I had, he guessed the brand of pillow I had bought. He said he is getting many patients with the same condition from this pillow. I have also had many more headaches the past 6 months. I would give it a zero stars if that was an option.

This pillow is the real thing and is far superior to any imitation. You get what you pay for, if you want a pillow of this type buy it right the first time.
