The Total Body Support Pillow.

After I had a sleep study done it was found that I had minimal apnea when I slept on my side. So after that SONA pillow failure, my sleep doctor suggested this one. This pillow is the perfect shape for side sleeping, with proper head, neck, and body support. It didn't do anything for my apnea, but it is a very good sleeping pillow. Cons: It's large, as you can tell from the product picture, and it also seems to mess up my hair worse than any other pillow I've had. But overall, it's a great, comfortable pillow.I thought I would love this since I used a body pillow in front of me and one behind me and a pillow for my head. BUT I didn't like the pillow part where my head because it was too poofy! I do like both sides being connected so if you like poofy pillows, you will love this.

I love this product. It provides excellent support for my neck and lower back issues. The only issue keeping this from being a 5 star product is that because it is all one solid pillow the stuffing is very quickly compacted into the ends are requires some fluffing/working to redistribute to maintain the support and shape of the pillow. Otherwise, it fulfills all the product advertisement.Super comfy. It just wraps all the way around you. You can also prop yourself up different ways with it. And if you roll over, it catches you. I have an issue with my shoulder and this is what I needed. It is an expensive pillow but I am happy that I bought it. If you have pain issues or you toss and turn... or you need something to snuggle with... get this pillow.I got this as a gift for my mother and she said it is super comfortable and has improved her sleep a lot. Also like that it comes with a pillowcase, as they are about $50 by themselves.Thursday, August 7, 2014

Smartsilk Duvet Comforter

We have a nice bed, but it seems to be getting taller every year or two. We purchased a new foam mattress, [a nice purchase], but it was 2" taller than the mattress it replaced, and out comforter was already barely covering the flat part, let alone hang down the sides.
So we looked around, we found this, and ordered it.
We are both happy, the quality of the fabric and workmanship is very nice, it is a good purchase from every perspective.
We would happily buy it again.

The comforter is a great one overall. Sometimes it can get a little too warm for me, but it does not make me sweat--which is excellent!Read Best Reviews of Smartsilk Duvet Comforter Here
This is a phenomenal blanket. I have had down blankets in the past and I prefer this because it is a lot lighter and nothing pokes through. It also does not bunch up. If you expect the fluffiness of a down comforter you will be surprised, silk is a lot less bulky. Another great feature is that it is machine washable which most down comforters are not.Be advised that this blanket is very warm in spite of how thin/light weight it is. I like to sleep in a cold room, 60-65 degrees. This is perfect for me however it would probably be too warm under other circumstances.

I'm surprised they call this a "duvet comforter" it is a comforter; the duvetis a removable cover used over the comforter to keep it from getting soiled;
since it's for a baby (crib size) the duvet was just as important as the comforter
which was a gift for a new mother. I finally found someone on line to make the
duvet (from a twin size flat sheet) and it is beautiful and fits perfectly since
it was made to fit the exact size of the comforter. When I purchased the comforter
I didn't realize finding a duvet to fit it would be so difficult.

Got these for the living room. They match well with our soft and match really well with our rug in that room. The quality is great; however, they were a bit smaller than I thought. My decor is a hodge podge of Mission, Craftsman, Southwest, and Oriental. This pillow and the Southwest pillow that I also purchased fit right in. It is very well made. Highly recommend both pillows.Thursday, March 6, 2014

300TC Sateen Stripe Pillow Sham

I purchased the sage-color shams--although this is no longer sold, you can see the color by viewing the matching bedskirt (MARRIKAS 300TC Egyptian Cotton KING Bed Skirt STRIPE SAGE). My husband and I were still using shams which matched an old comforter which we no longer owned, and we wanted an updated look.
These Sateen shams provided the modern, clean look we wanted, as they were one of the few products that we could find without ruffles or other frills. The shade of green was perfect to match the new quilt on our bed, and I love the subtle striped color variation. When I received the shams, they were packaged up and folded, so I had to iron them prior to placing them on the bed. We purchased the standard size, which works fine on our queen-sized bed (the pillows we use for the shams are standard-size pillows).
I have only a few very minor complaints. First, the fabric of the shams is fairly thin. This means that it does not hold its shape very well, both for spreading it across the front of the pillow and for standing up the ruffle. For the reason, it does NOT look quite like the photo; even though I starched the ruffle a bit when I ironed the sham, there is no way that it will stand up so neat as pictured here (although I somewhat expected this). Finally, the slit in the back to insert the pillow is off-center, which makes this task more difficult than if this had been centered (as it was with my old shams).
Overall, however, my husband and I are happy with our new shams, and we would recommend them.

I recently purchased these pillow shams to go with a new comforter. The shade and color are perfect and match my new comforter perfectly. The only downside is that the material is very light and thin so you have to be careful when putting your pillows into the sham. These were the only "queen" size shams I could find online. They fit "standard/queen" size pillows perfectly and the fabric is very nice.Bought some new bed linens the other day and decided I wanted some pillow shams, This is a nice color, smooth and comfy. Washes up well. Will buy from these folks again. If fact I did use them again. See next review.

I am extremely pleased with this set!!! I was even able to find a matching shower curtain. The sheets are soft and comfortable, tooThe comforter is great, especially for a "co-ed" room. The sheets are of an average quality. The set is definitely worth the money.Want 12 PC. MODERN BED IN A BAG OVERSIZED, COMFORTER SET W/ MATCHING PILLOWS AND SHEET SET Discount?
The only reason this set didn't get 5 stars is for the quality of the sheets. They didn't wash up very well and became odd shaped after the 1st wash. I doesn't matter though, I planned on using the sheets I had because I love them. I'll just take these up to our lakehome. The rest of it is absolutely beautiful, however!!Tuesday, December 10, 2013
Chimney Balloon Fireplace Damper 36"X15" Draft Stopper Pillow Plug

***1 year update: balloon is still in place, holding air. Don't forget to check if it needs more air when it gets cold out (just like your car tires)I recently bought three of these products directly from the manufacturer and have so far installed two of them. They are the proper size for each fireplace.
Here are some observations that may be of help to people considering purchase of this product. The fireplaces here are traditional (non-gas) wood-burning fireplaces with a metal damper just above the firebox.
For starters, after a number of attempts, I realized that I could not install the balloon well with the damper plate still in the flue. Why? My dampers are shaped like rectangles, with the long side parallel to the front of the fireplace. There is a rod that goes through the middle of the damper plate, left to right, and serves as a pivot to rotate this rectangular plate so that, when as open as it can be, perpendicular to the bottom of the fireplace, it leaves an opening on either side of only about 1 1/2"-2". You then have to insert the uninflated balloon through this very narrow opening and then, with your hand (mine is on the small side), which can barely fit through the opening, try to fit it to the opening so that , when inflated, it will form a good seal with the edges and so prevent air from escaping up the chimney. After a number of attempts I realized that I couldn't get a good enough fit. I would blow the balloon up partly until it started to shape itself to the sides, then test it to see how much leakage there was. I could not get a good seal. The way I figured out the fit is by using an incense stick, which I lit until there was a flame, which I then blew out, allowing a plume of smoke to rise from it. I then used a flashlight to see how the rising smoke would behave. I held the end of the stick about an inch away from the area being tested (be careful not to touch the balloon) . What I learned is that sometimes you would get the smoke curling up and sort of dawdling there as though it didn't know where to go. This was a sign of a good seal. Other times, the smoke would go straight up quickly in a thin plume through the opening that it found. No matter how often I awkwardly tried to reposition the balloon above the damper opening I wound up with a number of poor seals through which air just rushed out. Another problem with getting a good fit with the plate in place is that the "handle" through which you blow air extends down below the body of the balloon and so sticks out and into the damper opening below it, right next to the damper plate. (This is after removing the long tube used to blow air into the balloon.) I then examined the damper plate and realized that it could be removed by lifting up one end, angling that end up into the chimney about a foot (your proportions may well be different) and then pulling the rod out of the socket into which it fit on the other side. I could then bring the plate down through the opening, removing it.
After doing this it became possible to position the balloon, going through the same process as described above, but with much better success. By blowing it up partially, testing, sucking out some of the air, very gently repositioning it, and so on, I achieved a decent but still not great fit. At this point I realized that especially in some corners the balloon could not form itself tightly around the edges of the opening. I then came up with the notion of using polyfill (a cotton-like material) to seal up those particular areas. Now, when tested, I got a tight seal all around.
As I now see it, the main advantage of this system is that, if you want to start a fire in the fireplace, you could take the balloon down and then, with some hassle, put it back in later. It's not clear to me that, if you did not want to use the fireplace at all, this would be any better than fitting either a metal or wood covering above the firebox and sealing the edges with some sort of fire-resistant foam. You would, at least with my kind of set-up, have to remove the damper plate.
I might add that the instructions that come with the balloon make no mention of having to remove the damper plate. Perhaps it isn't necessary in all cases but it certainly was in mine. If you do decide to install one of these do wear safety glasses and an aspirator rated for fine toxic dust would probably be a good idea as stuff can come down on you as you face upward. Others have remarked that this is a dirty job. True, and then some. I would suggest putting some plastic sheeting on the firebox floor and the parts of the fireplace exterior to that floor.
As time allows I will post some additional remarks.
As always, constructive criticism is more than welcome.

This was a gift and my friend really like it. It was simple to install and helped to keep the house warmer.Want Chimney Balloon Fireplace Damper 36"X15" Draft Stopper Pillow Plug Discount?
I purchased this item directly from the manufacturer. I had wasps coming down my chimney and they managed to get around the flue. I was able to seal my fireplace doors but would have maybe 60-70 dead\dying insects in my fireplace by the end of summer. This item has solved my problem. Installation and removal is simple and take about 5 minutes in my situation. This is the 3rd summer I've used this with no problems. Highly recommended.Update: I noticed when removing CB last fall that the balloon was slightly deflated. After contacting the company and doing some simple diagnostic tests we were able to determine the valve on the extension was leaking. Even though this part was long out of warranty the company sent me a new replacement part at no cost.
