Comfort U Total Body Bed Pillow - Adult with Fusion Fill

I purchased (from another online store) the Fossfill Comfort U Total Body Pillow roughly 4.5 years ago when I was pregnant with my first child. I was hesitant to pay THAT much for a pillow, but I took a chance. I primarily purchased it because I was having trouble staying on my side while sleeping. I would constantly wake up and be on my back (which wasn't good). Anyway, it worked great in keeping me laying on my side, providing back support/relief and supporting my growing belly. I used it during the hot Texas summer and I was not at all too hot (granted, the A/C was running). The only complaint came from my husband, who said that it took up alot of space on the bed. It does provide excellent protection if you sleep with someone who moves/kicks around alot while sleeping. :) Seriously, if you are sleeping with someone in smaller than a king-size bed, this pillow does take up extra space (imagine a king size pillow in front of you, as well as behind you).

The REAL benefit of the pillow, however, came when my son turned 2 years old and moved to a full-size double bed. This pillow is the PERFECT size to make an "L" shape on the bed along the headboard and agaist the wall to provide comfort and additional support to a small child. It works much better than regular pillows (since it is more compact and firmer) and is much safer to use on the bed. The pillow also washes and dries up great. I've washed and dried it numerous times, and it still looks great. I highly recommend this pillow, especially for use on a full-size bed for a toddler. I have definitely gotten my money's worth on this pillow.

This will be my second Comfort-U full-size body pillow. The first one became flat when I called the manufacturer, they told me that if this starts to happen, which it often does, to place the pillow in a dryer for 10-15 minutes to fluff it up. They also sent me a free replacement. The process to fluff-up the pillow really works.

I have tried all the pillowcases. I find that the one that comes with the pillow is best.

The organic cotton was made out of a weaker fabric and there is a stress point on the pillow case on the inside of the curve, which may tear.

Buying an extra pillowcase or two is a great Idea and I recommend the white cotton-polyester one. The gray fleece case is much too long for me (5'2") and only works if you need to add additional length you can stuff additional regular bed pillows in the ends to make the pillow longer.

One final note if the pillow itself gets soiled, be prepared to buy a new one. Surface stains come out fine with a little soap and water but deeper soiling doesn't come out and I have found that no matter how you try to wash it from commercial washer/dryer to dry cleaning the pillow material loses its loft so much that it becomes useless.

But this pillow has helped me *tremendously* with serious arthritis and back pain and sleep apnea so I didn't mind buying my next pillow.

While this pillow was a bit pricey, it has been worth it. I'm tall (5'9"), so was concerned about other pillows being long enough for me. This one is perfect. I've slept well ever since I've gotten it hip pain is gone, leg cramps are history. I love that I can turn over in the middle of the night and not have to worry about readjusting the pillow or flipping it over with me. It does take up quite a bit of room in our queen bed, but it has been worth it to get a good night's rest. I highly recommend this pillow. I did get the Fossfill version, upon reading reviews of the other version being too hot and needing fluffing. I do need to fluff my pillow a bit sometimes, but not very often. And, I don't find it too warm at all (I am sensitive to this too).

Only complaint is the cost. Why a pillow is $100, I don't know... But, I do know I'm glad I bought it anyway. Will even be taking it with me on a multi-day road trip.

If you have fibromyalgia, buy this pillow. If you are pregnant and having trouble getting comfortable, or are experiencing pain from your sleep position, buy this pillow. It has been a very long time since I spent this kind of money on something I am telling you that the minute I laid down with it, I was positive this product was worth the money. I will continue to use it after my child is born, since it is so helpful with my fibromyalgia pain and sleep problems.

The fill is perfect, neither too soft or hard. You will be grateful that it has bolsters on both sides, as you don't need to move the pillow if you turn over. I have been sleeping with it as shown in the photo with the curved part as the pillow for my head. I have not needed any more pillows.

You will not struggle to get the cover on. The zipper is on the outside of the pillow so you don't feel it at all when you are sleeping. The cover is soft, it is not scratchy against your skin.

I wish I'd had this pillow from the beginning, when my fibromyalgia was diagnosed in 1997. Even before that, I had FM symptoms and I have been fighting to get a good night's sleep ever since. This pillow helps me get closer to that, by relieving pressure on my joints and muscles.

I bought this pillow in my 4th month of pregnancy (twins) because my doctor recommended that I sleep on my side. But I'm a back sleeper and it hurt my shoulders, hips and legs to stay on the sides all the time, particularly the joints. I had to use 2-3 pillows to support my knees/belly, but then I'd wake up several times during the night to flip and re-adjust everything very disruptive! I heard some of the other maternity support pillows became soft and lost their fill, so I bought this one because I heard it was firm and long. It has not disappointed in fact, I credit this pillow with saving my sleep habits. I actually turn it around so the U is by my feet and I use my own pillow as usual. In this arrangement, I find it provides great support for all of my joints from shoulders to ankles. It has not lost its fill, although it does need a little fluffing once in a while when the fill shifts no big deal. It is great for tall people almost a little too long (I'm 5'9). Sometimes I have to "find" it, it is so long. It also provides support from the back, so you can lean back on it without being fully on your back gives me a break from lying on my sides. This pillow will probably be great for nursing too and extra support for the 3rd trimester. Overall, I love this pillow and would recommend it to anyone who has joint pain, back pain, or is pregnant.

I purchased 2 "ITSA" Velour lounge chair towels. I washed both of them separately. Blue washed up OK but the Pink one looks like the threads broke & has runs in it. Otherwise they are very nice.

This towel is def only made to lay on. Its very akward to fold and very difficult to dry off in then wrap yourself up and walk around (the pockets/ends fly around). I purchased this to use for a day at the pool. Since it wraps around the chair the wind doesn't blow it it off the chair.. but i aways bring another towel to dry off with! I'm not sure if I would buy it again. I have seen similar, less bulky towels in the past and would be more apt to try one of those.

These pillows:

Ordered two of these in king size for our new, larger bed. They came quickly, shipped in a cardboard box and half out of their plastic sleeves. It rains here a LOT. So glad the box didn't get wet or I'd have had a moldy mess on my hands from the start. Once opened and the cardboard smell had dissipated, I tried to use them. They were so large, it wash difficult to get the cases on them. These are just highly stuffed, seemingly over-filled pillows. Don't see the down-alternative characteristic in these at all!. They are ordinary fiber-fill pillows, nothing special. I stuck them into some shams for decorative purposes only. They hold their original loft. In fact, you can't beat them down if you try. So if you are a giant or like a mile-high pillow to sleep on, these might be for you. Just not me. They do make a good sham pillow, though, that will stay firm enough to prop yourself up in bed for watching TV.

The ones I had hoped these were:

Years ago, I bought several down alternative pillows from Sam's that I believe were branded Serta Perfect Sleeper tho I could be wrong there. It was definitely a mattress brand, though. They were so good that everyone thought they were really down. Those were very soft and lightly filled. Felt just like down and squished down and need plumping regularly, just as down does. For someone with cervical disc problems that sleeps on her side, I need some height but not too much or I am in terrible pain the next day. These sunk down from the weight of my head to the perfect spot. If they became too flat, I could just plump them back up, just as with down. Perfect for me. Even better, they could be WASHED in the machine on gentle, 2 at a time, without loosing that quality--which was just fantastic for a household of folks with allergies. Such a great product. They even came with nice, patterned cotton covers that were zippered with piping sewn into the seams. No need to buy a pillow protector. All that and they cost about $13 or around $24 for a 2-pack.

Sadly, these are not the same as the Sam's pillows of old. Haven't seen them at Sam's in a while. If anyone knows of what I speak and knows where to get them now, I would appreciate your sharing.

This is the BEST cervical pillow I have ever tried. I have a whiplash that is over 40 years old, and I have bought every pillow on the market. NONE of them worked. So I made my own but it was so uncomfortable that I was up all night. I just got this Core Air Pillow from my chiropractor, and this is a Godsend. I actually had my first good nights' sleep in years! I can adjust the air as firm as I need it and it will never deflate like foam does. This is the BEST PART! Your neck can stay stable all night long. The only improvement I would make to this already-great product is that I would have an air pump on BOTH sides of the pillow so the larger side could also have this capability. GREAT PRODUCT! I am so happy with it!

We loved these pillows at first, but the inflatable tubes shifted out of the fiber stuffing and became crooked, rendering the pillow unusable. We ended up removing the inflatable tubes and sewing the pillows closed again. This makes them like regular air core pillows (which we like, but tend to wear out in a matter of months). It is a good concept, but needs a bit more refinement.

Someone recommended this pillow to me, so I decided to try it out.

Firstly, it takes some time to get used to. It is definitely designed to be used for sleeping on your back, as it does feel awkward for side sleeping. The included documentation says that you can use the thick side sections of the pillow for side sleeping, but that just made it feel like a regular pillow. Only worse, because my head kept getting sucked into the hole in the middle anyway. However, even through some awkward nights on my side, I never had any discomfort in my neck. In fact, my neck and back feel better than they have in a long time.

Over time, I've adjusted to sleeping more on my back. This pillow is actually quite comfortable in that position, and it's better for your back and neck anyway. If you get this pillow, give back sleeping a serious effort if you don't normally. It could be worth it for you. It will take some time, but you may end up liking it.

The adjustable pump is a nice feature, but in my opinion, it doesn't make that much of a difference. I should play around with it more, but more than anything the pump kind of gets in the way. It's just an awkward hard object in your bed that you may contend with. It hasn't really gotten in my way though, so I didn't dock much for it.\

In the end $30+ seems expensive, but for a good night's sleep, it's totally worth it, and that's how much you'll spend on a nice pillow anyway. So, in my opinion, it's worth a shot. It's definitely designed for back-sleepers, but may be enough to convert side-sleepers with back/neck pain.

I ordered this twin size over the others that I looked at because it said that was a 4 piece set with 2 pillowcases. Well, the twin size only has 1 pillowcase which is not enough, so I am not satified. The fabric is okay but thin for a 450 count thread. If I didn't need it now for holiday guests, I would have sent it back.

I purchased the Queen Ivory sheet set. I was less than thrilled when I opened the plastic package and the sheets had a strong odor. I was also suspect because the package read: Low Pilling. There should be NO pilling on sateen sheets. I contacted the seller and they were happy to have me send them back. I really needed the sheets, so I took a chance and washed them twice in regular detergent and dried them on low. They came out odor-free and not too wrinkled. They are Egyptian cotton (I prefer Pima) and they are thinner than the other sheets I have used in the past, however, for the price I would purchase them again! These are for a guest room and don't get too much wear...so overall I am pleased with the purchase. The nice thing is that the color matched the other pillow cases and top sheet perfectly, so I can mix and match. they are also large enough to go over a oversize mattress. Buy without fear!

However, after several months of wear and wash, they have become the softest sheets I own. the also are nice and big. Sarah Peyton 50-Inch Memory Foam Body Pillow

I purchased two of these same pillows about two months ago from a competing retailer and wrote three reviews for that retailer which were unfortunately never published--I suspect due to the negative review. It seems only one one star and many five star reviews were published on that site. Therefore, I'm posting my review here because Amazon always publishes reviews unless they are in poor taste.

When I first received the pillows, I loved them and would have rated them five stars. The pillows arrived flat and then expanded to a suitable body-pillow size. If you purchase more than one you will realize that the length and width is not always the same for each of the pillows. My two expanded to a different width and length (one was about eight inches longer than the other and a little fatter).

After one week I knew this purchase was a mistake. The pillows are very hard (which is what I wanted); however, they are also very HEAVY and make you sweat when hugging them. It feels like I'm throwing around a six pound baby every time I re-adjust positions. Also, they are made of PIECES of memory foam (which is why the pillow arrives flat--it is compressed so that the pieces appear to be one solid piece of memory foam). THOSE PIECES OF MEMORY FOAM PROMPTLY FALL APART AFTER YOU USE THE PILLOW!

After daily use you will find that the foam does not have any memory at all. Instead you have a hard, lumpy pillow with pieces that separate inside the pillow and never go back together even if you re-adjust the material inside. The situation becomes worse if you encase the pillow in a body pillowcase because then the memory foam pieces are unable to shift causing a very hard lumpy mass.

If the memory foam behaved as memory foam should, I would have loved this pillow even with the heavy weight because I wanted something very firm. However, it reminds me of a sack of potatoes where the potatoes constantly shift and are never in one place, yet are just as heavy and firm.

If you buy this pillow you will own a very heavy and very firm body pillow with constantly shifting memory foam pieces! Using the memory foam name in this body pillow is misleading--it NEVER expands back into its full position; instead you have a lumpy mess. If you don't encase the pillow in another pillowcase then it will not seem so heavy and the memory foam pieces will expand at little to fit the elasticized encasement the pillow came with.

BUYER BEWARE......... I cannot recommend this body pillow and I'm sorry I purchased two of them. I threw them out this morning (1/9/09) after trying to use them for less than two months!!!!!!!!!

I bought this pillow for my wife and she loves it. So the foam is in several pieces... really? It expanded to full mass in about 5 days and cannot tell it is in several pieces despite smashing it over and over again when my wife was able to start using it up to today. Yes it's heavy... she likes it because it stays in place. Yes it's hard... it conforms to her legs and arms and stays like that so she sleeps all night with no issues. I encased the pillow in a cover and it is not a lumpy mess. I also live in Satan's back yard call Arizona and I cannot feel what "heat" is being referenced here that makes you sweat like a pig using this pillow without a pillow case on. My wife gets mad at me everytime I take the pillow from her... what does that tell you?

I regret buying this pillow. It comes compressed and rolled into a small cylinder. I shook it like the instructions said, but it still took several days to expand.

It is made of pieces of memory form, not a memory foam pad, which makes the description highly missleading. Mine has two places where the foam pieces are completely seperated, so its like having 3 small pillows inside a body-pillow-sized pillow case.

I got this pillow at CVS, for significantly cheaper than it is being sold for here (a rare occurance). While I don't know if I'd pay the Amazon price for it, I do know that my sleep has improved since getting this pillow. I'm a side sleeper who moves very infrequently in my sleep, so I don't know if that'll make a difference as to why this pillow was great for me.

Also, it comes with a teeny pillow around the size of a deck of cards... I think that might just be to see how the memory foam feels, but I use it as a wrist rest when using a computer mouse. Very helpful!

A few points to consider.

1) It took around 5 hours to expand to it's full size after taking it out of the package, so the first night it was a little hard.

2) The removable cover is quite snug to the pillow, so it is a bit difficult to put the pillow back in after washing it.

Edit 02/28/2012 = This pillow got really hard after around 3 months of usage. Now it is unusable as a sleeping pillow, and I now use it only as an additional lounging pillow in our living room.

5 months after becoming a mother, I still had trouble sleeping. I experienced pain in my lower back as well as my hips. This pillow is slightly less supple than most memory foam products I am have used in the past. However, it is still a very comfortable firm pillow.

Things to keep in mind with memory foam (pillows or mattress pads)

1. They have an smell that will dissipate with time. If you are sensitive to smells you may want to air out for a few days before putting it on you bed.

2. Memory foam products tend to ship in a rather `squished' state. This came rolled and in an air tight bag. Give it a few hours to return to its natural state.

I have had this pillow for over a year now. I bought a second one for me and my husband still loves his. We both have used it as our main pillow over the year. His is still in great shape. Mine is a bit more lumpy. I'm going to buy another one of these pillows to replace it. For $20.00 it is worth it.

This is a true king sized pillow with a traditional-shaped memory foam filling. This pillow has no special contour or ridges, knobs, or holes. It is a regular cut pillow stuffed with viscoelastic polyurethane foam. It is a heavy pillow and quite firm; but comfortable. As other reviewers have mentioned, the pillow tends to become lumpy with regular use. Rotating sides and vigorous fluffing is required to maintain pillow. If you move often during slumber, avoid this pillow it is slow to recover its natural shape. 20" x 36" x 4" with polycotton cover. I've been able to obtain a relaxing sleep using this pillow; but I'm still searching for pillow perfection.

Definitely not my type of pillow, I gave it to my boyfriend and he's obligated to love it but the foam was just too slow to poof back up that I couldn't get used to it. I bought a talalay latex pillow with the ventilated holes and that did the trick for me.

I bought this pillow for several reasons...

1. I have a memory foam mattress and LOVE it

2. The price $20. Not a huge investment

The pillow arrived rolled up as is common with most memory foam products. This is fine, just let it sit and be patient.

However, once it was done expanding (about a day), it became a large lumpy mess. Yes, the pillow does have a memory of where your head is, however, it doesn't forget. Essentially, that means if your head is in one spot for a period of time and you shift, the pillow is going to remember that initial spot for a very long time and make the adjustment to the new spot almost impossible.

My fiancee and I both tried the pillow for several nights, but ultimately it's ending up as a second pillow for between the legs when sleeping on ones side.

As far as the other comments about the size, it's a king size pillow which means it requires a king size pillow case. Understand that before you order.

Holy Lamb Organics Woolly "Down" Pillow

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this pillow! It's well made (no factory-farmed, Mal Wart cheapo here), starts out warm and fluffy, contorts to almost any position, and then solidifies while sleeping to offer firm support. (You can buy more nibs inexpensively from the manufacturer to increase the firmness, but I doubt most people would need to. You can pull nibs out, too, to decrease firmness, thanks to the wonderful zipper).

At first I had my reservations. The nibs didn't look quite as soft as the ones in the picture, and when I woke up, the nibs had all clumped into a hard mass. However, once I figured out to FLUFF IT, FLUFF IT, FLUFF IT, now I can't wait to jump into bed and sink into its warm, fluffy goodness. Plus, as I mentioned before, the clumping actually increases the support, which is nice, because my old pillow was giving me headaches.

My oldy-but-goody pillow was a memory foam, but this one is sooooo much better. It starts out soft, like a cloud, but then gets firmer, a PERFECT combination. I've also had buckwheat pillows, but they were too hard and had to be adjusted whenever I turned over-not good if you like to move!

Seriously, if you have the money to splurge, buy this pillow!!! I'm planning to invest in one of their wool comforters, next, as soon as I can afford it.

I have allergies and knew that I should switch away from a down pillow. However, I love the loft, moldability, and squishiness of down pillows. I'd looked at wool pillows before but could never bring myself to buy one until I saw this one. I was still skeptical about whether it would suit me the way down pillows do, but decided to try it anyway, after my allergy problems worsened. And, I LOVE it.

It doesn't loft in quite the same way as a down pillow, but it does have the squishiness and moldability that I like and I've had no problems with it feeling hard or too firm. I did remove at least a third of the filling, to get the feel that I wanted, so it's probably more pliable than it would be if you like a firm pillow and used all of the fill.

I highly recommend investing in this pillow if you've wanted to get away from the allergy concerns of down but couldn't give up down's other features.

I purchased this pillow from Holy Lamb Organics a few months ago. I have neck issues and need some support and this pillow caused more problems than ever! After the first two nights, I had to remove some of the wool due to the hardness after sleeping on it as that is what they suggested. I suffered with this pillow for a long time, waking up with headaches, jaw aches and neck pain every morning. This pillow may seem fluffy but as you lie on it it gets harder and harder. Who has time to fluff your pillow in the middle of the night? I finally went back to my old pillow and had the best nights sleep in a long time. It is very expensive and after you use it, it is not returnable! I do not recommend this pillow to anyone!

I have two wool pillows. This one was $70 more than the other. If I could do it all over, I would have bought 2 of these expensive pillows. There is such a difference in the quality. This pillow is stuffed with wool in a way that fills out every inch. When I air fluff it in the dryer, it fluffs it up evenly not like the lumpy other pillow. It is the most comfortable pillow with the perfect balance of firmness and softness. At first, I felt so guilty spending $100 on a pillow! But, I am so happy I bought it! I wish I had bought two!!

These packs and simple to use and maintain the humidity levels within a few percent. I've used these packs for a little over a year and I love them. They are easy to use and typically lasts a month or so for me. I use the with gel jar because I dont find the gel jar alone to maintain humidity levels all that consistent. These pack seems to do the job though.

This is my favorite method for humidification. These came in a slightly different style (color) than the traditional white and blue, but they work all the same!

Wonder Pets Toddler Bedding Set

Low, low quality sheets. Ended up buying twin sheets seperatey for the toddler bed. Kept the comforter, which is soft, but the sheets were rough, even after three washes and tons of fabric softener. Apparently this company just wanted a quick buck and forgot this was for kids! Crappy, crappy quality.

This toddler bedding set "Saved the Day" for our 2-year-old's transition from crib to toddler bed. Being quite the avid Wonder Pets fan (won't play with or watch anything else!) she was more than thrilled to have them all over her bed. She's so happy to take naps & go to bed at night. When she wakes, she plays happily in her bed, pointing out the characters & singing to them.

The Cons: the fitted sheet is SMALL!! I tried it on two different brands of matresses & it's so tight it takes 2 adults to put it on (I busted my lip open trying to put it on by myself). I have the smallest crib/toddler mattresses, so I don't know what they made the fitted sheet for. Ugh. This makes me think twice before purchasing the twin set for our next transition.

If you like soft sheets, you might like this because it's pretty. As for me, I ended up keeping this in the linen closet for when I need to make a pallet on the sofa for guest overflow because I prefer crisper sheets.

I used this in the last months of pregnancies and I love it! The only problem is that the parts that you use (between the legs, under your head) gets a little soft overtime, like any normal pillow. Also, when you want to turn to the other side in the middle of the night, you have to basically get up and flip yourself and the entire pillow over which is a pain since you're so huge...... Overall, I still recommend it for a preggy lady.. or not!

It makes dealing with the awkwardness of a growing belly much easier. It allows me to find a comfortable position in order to lay down and sleep. It's much easier to use than struggling with multiple pillows.

Decent feather-bed. I decided after a year of light use I would hand it down. My 16 year old brother thinks this is the best. started to hurt my back and I decided to just buy a premium pillow-top mattress. I guess I am getting to old to have an overstuffed bed. Beware that fitted sheets don't like this all to much. The feather bed gets padded down quickly. You will be "fluffing" this thing everyday if you want it to be effective. Me... I would rather just get into bed after a long day of work without having to "fluff" my bed.

These sheets are exactly what I was expecting!! Great fitting and perfect color. Quality seems to be good. These are in a spare bedroom that is only used a few times a year but results from the kids that have used them is they are comfortable.
