I was very excited to order this item as I'd been looking for something to hold my book while reading in bed. Often times I get more tired of holding the book than reading so wanted something where I could lay on my side and still read while laying down. Let me just say this thing works, but could use a lot of improvement in how it was made. First of all it's feather light. I thought it would have some type of heavy beans inside for weight, like the old ashtray bean bags (I'm dating myself) but this thing is full of tiny white fluff. It weighs less than a t-shirt in fact when the package came I couldn't imagine what it was it was so light. Needless to say, it is not stable enough to hold the book steady at all and trying to get the back of it to hold the book more upright is a real challenge. The clear plastic bar at the bottom is not wide enough to hold the book pages REALLY flat no matter how tight you pull the string. If you pull it too tight, you have to loosen it each time to turn the pages with ease. I "rigged" mine because it does work, just not well. I went to a craft store and bought two fist sized bags of colored glass "rocks" ... not sure what they are supposed to be used for but this thing REALLY needs some weight to stablize it. Not sure who invented this book seat but it could sure use some improvements. As I said, it does work, you can turn the pages pretty easily but it is not stable unless you put something weighty inside it so plan on spending a few more dollars for stablization marbles or something. Oh also, with what is inside this, it would NOT make a good pillow as advertised so it's not going to hurt it any to put some rocks in it. Hope this proves helpful!

This book holder was recommended by my hand therapist. I have severe carpal tunnel syndrome and am slowly recovering from CT release surgery on my R hand, will have to have it on my L as well, and in short am not supposed to grip books for any length of time. But I believe that I would like this holder even without such issues, as it is really handy. It works much better than I had expected, even with large and heavy hard bound books, molds well to sit at different angles and on different surfaces, and is light enough to carry anywhere, even to restaurants (where I have received many compliments and inquiries on where to get one). The only reason not to give it 5 stars is my one caveat: there is an elastic loop that can be tightened to fit the clear plastic bar that holds the book open and in place, which unfortunately sticks up and will cause a small tear in the page of the book as you turn it unless you are VERY careful in turning the page. That said, I still use it all the time and recommend it highly. I would give it 4 1/2 stars if that were an option.

I got this Book Seat Book Holder to use with my Nook ereader but it works for what ever you are reading. It works great for my ereader and I can lay on my side in bed or use it to read or even as a pillow while traveling in cars or planes. This is such a neat product! I a lot, but my hands/tendons often get stressed from holding the book open awkwardly, plus I can't multitask. Now I can knit or eat while I read, or have the Book Set hold my book open while I write a paper. Easy to use. Like the other comments said, I found this a little too light. I had to make a small cut and add some heavier poly-fill beads, then sew it back up [it has a zipper in the back, but I could NOT get it open at all.]

The only other thing I wish is that the angle in the back wasn't quite so steep, sometimes I feel like the book is tilted back a little too far, unless I have my knees up behind the book buddy to push it forward. Those two things are the only thing keeping me from giving it five stars. All in all, this was a great buy, and it's even better with the added heavier beads.

They do look nice together, HOWEVER -note that while there is nothing to indicate as much, only ONE sham is included in the package. If you want a set of TWO, you have to buy TWO.

I was quite annoyed to find my shipment only included one, not a pair, so now I have to buy a 2nd at the same price. Buyer beware.

If you buy this pillow, the first time you take it out of the box, you'll think you've been had! If feels like a brick, and you'll wonder "who could sleep on this?" Well you will if you just try it once.

It's very dense foam, and when you lay down on it, for the first few seconds, you'll think "this won't work!" Give it a few minutes and your head will sink slowly down into its protective contours, it will make your spine stable and keep your neck in a good position. Once you get used to it, you can even lay on your side and the pillow still is comfortable.

I am very happy with this product, and my neck is so much less stiff. Keep an open mind and you'll fell better quickly.

Before this pillow I took 2 ibuprofen before bed. Now I take none. It is also great for tall people. It is smaller than regular pillows so you lay higher in the bed and your feet hang off the end less.

Carex! Seriously, this is a great product in that it worked wonders for me. I am over 60 yo and have been involved in 3 total loss car accidents. These and normal wear 'n tear have taken a toll on my poor neck. When I am awake, I can constantly do loosing exercises for the neck and have no problems. When I am sleeping, I cannot and can easily wake up sore and very tight in the neck area.

From the first night I used the Carex, it was as if I had gotten a fresh, 'new' neck when I woke up! Yup, that much of a difference. It has been about a week now and it is the same every morning. And, during the day, I seem to have to do less neck-loosing exercises.

This is a really good product. And, yes, it does have a slight, mild 'new' odor for the first few days....which the manufacturer warns you of....and which I did not find offensive. But you can put a pillow case over it at night and unzip it during the day.....it disappears in short order.

I've had this pillow for several months now and there are basically 2 things that I want to say about it:

First, the good news: Before I bought this item, I was experiencing some fairly severe pain in my neck from a fall. After sleeping on this pillow for just a couple of nights, the support it provided helped ease my neck pain entirely. I still use the pillow every night and now have no pain in my neck at all.

Secondly, the semi-bad news: When I first got the pillow, the foam had a very strong odor. It took a couple of weeks for the odor to completely dissipate. Because I did get considerable relief using it, I put up with the smell for longer than I normally would have. There is now no odor to the pillow at all.

If you can tolerate the odor for a brief period (many foam pillows have this same issue), this is a great pillow and a very good buy. The temporary smell is the only reason that I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. As to functionality, it is great and I highly recommend this product.

I pinched a nerve in my neck while lifting weights. I'm convinced that just sleeping on my back and using this pillow helped to fix the issue. The pain in my arm and neck started going away after I had been using the pillow for only a couple of days. After a couple of weeks of use I was able to drive in my car without causing a flare up. Z by Malouf 100% Natural Shredded Talalay Latex Pillow with Bamboo Cover

Chasing after a good night's sleep has become somewhat of a slight obsession especially after developing arthritis in my neck. The right pillow makes all the difference. Over the years I've purchased just about every pillow known to mankind many which were very expensive; hand-stuffed down pillows from Cuddledown, memory foam (ugh the heat!), buckwheat (puffy face allergy prone), spun gel (like trying to sleep on a sponge)...you name it, I've tried them.

I've also tried different shapes, sizes and sleeping positions. The bottom line is that it's not easy to find a great pillow. Until Z by Malouf! Over a year ago I purchased four of their formed talalay pillows the odor was a bit overwhelming at first but once aired out, they provided a superb level of support combined with comfort. They have held up well and perform perfectly but I actually prefer the shredded talalay for the ability to position it "just right".

When this shredded talalay became available I ordered two king size pillows which arrived quickly, encased in the very nice carrier. Unlike the prior pillows, the odor from these wasn't as bad although a good airing is probably still in order. These do not come with a removable cover although the outside of the pillow itself is a comfortable material (bamboo according to the label). The king size is a bit odd shaped in that it is long but not as wide as anticipated. I will be ordering more in the queen size due to this variation.

Aside from the slightly odd sizing of the king size, this is an exceptional deal! Shredded talalay isn't easy to find (none of my local stores seem to carry it) and when ordering via catalog or online, the cost tends to be high. This compares very favorably to the pillows used at Weston for their dream beds for those searching for a general type of comparison...it's a bit firmer which I actually like as the extra support helps with the neck pain.

For those that suffer from allergies (other than latex), this is a GREAT option! Feather pillows and buckwheat tend to leave me puffy, others with a heavy chemical can actually cause a cough and congestion. This is natural talaly, tends to resist mites and other common causes of allergies. Just remember, the talalay is NOT appropriate for those with a latex allergy!!!!

Finally, for those with a neck problem this pillow is the best solution I've encountered to date. Unlike feather pillows that pack down during the night, this remains supportive throughout the entire evening, reducing the angles that often lead to pinched nerves, circulation problems and pain. Unlike gel or foam that is often "too fluffy", this still allows compression so the head and neck are held at a natural angle.

Although I purchased these specifically due to neck problems, my spouse who has no such issues absolutely loves the pillows as well. Bottom line fantastic pillow, fantastic price!

UPDATE Ordered four more queen sized pillows which arrived with a zipper case. Unsure why the king size didn't but wanted to update review to indicate the inclusion of a nice zippered case for the queen size.

Let me start by saying this is the first review I have ever posted on Amazon,even though I've bought tons of stuff on here.... This pillow was bad enough, I didn't want others to waste their money on this cheap pillow. I received this Z by Malouf 100% Natural Shredded Talalay Latex Pillow with Bamboo Cover from LinenSpa(CVB Inc.) on May 23, 2012. I took it out of the plastic case and the smell was horrible. I then took it out of the bamboo cover, which is not even bamboo it says rayon on the packaging (false advertising) and washed it by hand and let it air dry, to try to get rid of the smell. I put the pillow in a different room to air out.

After leaving the pillow to air out for a while I thought it would smell better. The pillow made my eyes itch and gave me a horrible headache. As another reviewer commented "it smells like rubber tires". It has a really bad chemical smell. It does NOT smell like 100% natural talay latex as it states. I have a 100% natural talalay latex bed and it never smelled like this. I know what 100% natural talay latex smells like and this is not it.

Upon closer inspection I felt some hard spots and something that felt sharp. I took some of the stitching out so I could look inside the pillow to see what was really in there. I found a TWIG, yes a TWIG. Seriously!!! If that wasn't bad enough, it does not appear to be 100% natural talalay latex. It looks like cheap foam that was recycled from used pillows or mattresses. This is NOT at all a quality pillow, or even a cheap pillow that can be used.

Also, the pillow measures 16" x 35". A normal King size pillow measures 20" x 36", so this pillow is a very weird size and not at all a standard size. It also does not have much filling the amount of filling in it would be ok it if were a Queen size. Shredded latex pillows are great, but NOT this one!

Would NEVER recommend!!! Very CHEAP! I returned it the morning after I received it. As always, Amazon has a great return policy!

::YAWN:: hopefully I don't fall asleep in my new pillows while writing this...

Great pillows for the price. I use these shredded latex pillows with two regular solid latex pillows. It gives me the variety I want when I'm sleeping.

The only reason I am giving these 4 stars instead of 5, is because I still prefer my solid latex pillows for support. I know it's a matter of opinion, but I prefer these to my tempurpedic pillows.

I would like to address a few of the negatives that I have read on the comments.

1) The smell. I didn't have any issue with the smell of these. It might be eye opening to someone who has never used foam pillows, but it is nothing compared to the smell of my tempurpedic pillows. The smell from these is more natural, and no where near as strong. Memory foam pillows completely overwhelmed my bedroom for about 2 days, then the smell was still there for about 5-7 days. Washing the pillow case that comes with the pillow will dramatically reduce the smell of these. With that said, the people complaining about the smell might have received pillows that smelled stronger than mine, so I am in no way saying that it is not possible for the smell to be stronger than the two pillows I received.

2) The bamboo cover that is made from rayon. I understand that some people might be alarmed to find that a number of bamboo products really aren't 100% bamboo. They can be made with Rayon that is made from bamboo. The description on these pillows clearly states "Super soft rayon from bamboo cover," so do not be shocked when you see the same description on the bag the pillow comes in. For more info on the subject you can do a web search for an article called "Bamboozled by Bamboo Rayon? We Aren't So Sure." I would provide a link, but I'm not 100% sure that I am allowed to post links on a review.

3) The fact that you can't take off the inside cover that is holding the latex together. I personally prefer the shredded latex being in a cover that is stitched shut. The last thing I want is my 4 year old unzipping these and making a huge mess. I hate to assume things, but I think the fact that the shredded latex is firmly enclosed will help help keep the shape of these pillows. You can still machine wash the removable bamboo cover, and spot clean the inner cover if needed. If you are overly concerned about stains, then you can use a case that is more resistant to moisture to protect the cover. If you still aren't happy, then you can cut the inner case and use your own zipper case. As cheap as these pillows are, I wouldn't hesitate to cut into them and put the latex into whatever pillow case you prefer.

With all that said, thanks again for selling latex pillows at this price point. I put these in a $20 pair of 600 thread count egyptian cotton pillow cases, and for less than $80 total, I now have 2 pillows that people would spend a fortune for in most stores. As a bonus to the comfort these pillows provide, I can also rest my head on my wallet that is filled with a few extra bills now.

...and now it's about time to put these pillows back to use. ::YAWN::

This is by far the best pillow I have ever purchased. However, it was too high for my neck, so I had to unzip it, tear the seams *(about 5-6 inches), and pull out quite a bit of the stuffing, then sew it back up again. It's very messy to do so, but now I love my pillow! It sleeps like a dream. Finally I found a pillow to match the quality of my bed and my usual sore neck in the morning (from the last year) is gone. I wish I had bought it a long time ago. **I recommend if you do what I did to have a plastic bag covering the hole you open ready before pulling the shreds directly into the bag. Doing it outside might be a good idea as it was messy! I pulled out almost a whole plastic grocery bag's worth. It's perfect now and worth the effort. My only recommendation to the product makers would be to add a zipper to the inner bag lining (the luxurious outer bag case already has a zipper).

Talalay is VERY expensive, so to anyone complaining about having to adjust the pillow, I would say you are getting about a $50 discount at least on this pillow, so stop complaining and put in 15 minutes of time to make it just as soft as you like it. Then...Heaven!

The bamboo cover is worth the price of the pillow alone! It's so soft and fluffy. It's really high quality for a cover and anyone who likes bamboo fabric knows I'm not kidding--that is expensive stuff! The pillow, once altered, is superior to feathers, which make me sneeze since I suffer from allergies. the pillow "feels" similar to a down pillow, yet at a cooler temperature for those who tend to overheat. There is a latex smell, but it's not a big deal and has dissipated over the week's use. Plus, it's a natural latex smell (and therefore while some may find the smell unpleasant depending on their nose--it's not actually toxic). The smell bothered me zero percent (even though I have allergies); but smell is a relative thing. Obviously, those allergic to latex should not purchase this pillow--duh.

Overall, the pillow has made a huge difference to my sleep, is really plush and cozy, has ended my stiff neck issues, and it was SO CHEAP!

I looked everywhere for a pillow like this. Because of a neck injury I needed a pillow I could mash to support my neck and would still allow my head to stay straight while sleeping on my side. This pillow works great but it smells terrible. I have had it for about 2 weeks and the first week was almost unbearable, your hair will smell like rubber tires in the morning. I have left it out of the cover and pillow slip most days to allow it to air out but the smell is still quite noticeable.

It is also very heavy but it is not hot. I wish I could give it 5 stars for comfort but because it smells so strongly of rubber I will give it 3. If the odor won't bother you, you will like the comfort of it.

It's a cute versatile set but it feels thin and light, not fluffy at all. If I had known it was the brand sold at Walmart I would not have bought it because it wasn't cheap but it has a cheap feel to it.

You can get the same exact set at Walmart for like less than 40 bucks.. It's cheaply made, very hot.. I actually have to get out from under the covers at night. If you have rough skin (my fiance does), the fabric will always catch your skin. The set overall is really cute appearance wise. Down Alternative Pillow Set, White

We bought these pillows to replace the $8 walmart pillows we were using (you get what you pay for). I LOVE them. My head sinks in and I can re-fluff them and shape them any way I want. However, my husband doesn't like them (which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5). He thinks they offer enough support and flatten out too easily. I guess I just like my pillows softer and he likes them firmer. So if you're looking for firm support, this isn't it. If you're like me and like to sink in to your bedding, these pillows are fantastic. Good price too.

If you like down pillows, you will love these! They feel like real goose down but they're cruelty-free. "A clear conscience is the softest pillow." I bought this for my 7 yr old daughter for her birthday. She absolutely loves it.

Even after reading that these sheets are rough texture, I ordered them as I couldn't find ones that appeared to be smoother. They are rough. My granddaughter won't be using them until she comes to spend the summer with me in late June. I don't know if she will complain about them or not. I would think they wouldn't be pleasant to young skin, but maybe youngsters don't notice. Her prior princess sheets were much smoother. It would be great if someone made a better Princess Tiana/Princess and the Frog bedding. I'm guessing low thread count is the culprit, but I can't say that for sure since the thread count isn't shown on the package. I didn't get the comforter since we won't need it in the summer. We wouldn't put it on during the daytime because her bed is a loft bed and would be horrible to make up daily with a comforter. If you are willing to accept the sheets because they are the design you want, you'll be OK.

The sheets themselves are stiff and they have this rough, grainy feel to them instead of the smooth feel like ordinary colored sheets. This is not at all what I expected from Disney. I mean this is their BRAND; in every sense of the word! I didn't expect the sheets to have any kind of high thread count quality for they are for kids. But I do have other themed sheets for my kids, and these are incredibly thin and rough! The design is cute, a bit light/faded. 60% cotton and 40% polyester, made in Pakistan. I also have a comforter (the 1 with a lot of pink in it), and it's pretty thin. We keep P&TF dvd in heavy rotation, so any thing Tiana is wonderful in my daughters book! However, as the consumer I also need to be satisfied with my purchase. So I will thouroughly check out a Disney product of this kind next time prior to spending any more money.

Austin Horn Classics Verona 18-Inch Shantung Square Pillow, Red

I bought this pillow to go with the rest of the Austin Horn Classics Red Verona Bedding Collection, 4-Piece, Queen. The entire set is high quality and luxurious and none of the pictures do it justice.

The color in the photo for this pillow is about right. It is not the bright shiny gold as it appears in the bedding collection photo. This photo makes the pillow look like something cheap you'd buy at Pier 1, but it really doesn't look that way. See the picture I uploaded to get a better idea. It is a sturdy firm pillow made in the U.S. and the fabric seems like it will hold up and not get shredded immediately. The pillow filling is labeled 95% feather and 5% down. The roped center of the pillow looks flat in the picture but is actually three dimensional like a cone. The back doesn't have that embellishment. The size is not 18x18" either. Corner to corner it is 17", but the sides are slightly curved so that the inner dimensions are more like 14x14".

I had to do a complete bedroom cleaning and make over, I was sneezing a lot, had lots of conjestion. I did away with my humidifier, sprayed with dustmite control spray I ordered from amazon, got rid of all my pillows and ordered this one. I can tell you I don't sneeze anymore, the pillow is comfortable and smells good. I am sleeping much better. After reading about dust mites, I now know that was the cause of my allergies. I will re-order this pillow and throw the old one away, yuk when I learned dust mites feed on your dead skin, mattress, pillows, etc. I live in a dry climate, and I vacuum every day now and so far all this has helped trememdously, and I feel so much better. I recommend this pillow.

I've had the king pillow for less than a week. It has become two smaller lumps with a empty spot between them. No amount of fluffing gets it back into the original shape.

I've only had this for about three nights, but I noticed a difference immediately. I was using a down pillow, but waking each morning hacking and coughing up junk. I decided to try this pillow and was pleasantly surprised to wake up the first morning without coughing and hacking. It's comfortable, and the encasement seems fine. I got the king size, and it fits my king pillowcase perfectly. I'm three for three mornings with no allergy symptoms in the morning so I am crediting the pillow. It seems high quality for the price. I've splurged on more expensive down pillows but I am happier with this one.
